Welcome to the Black Cat Botanicals project: a series of black dyed enamel pins featuring stylized florals and tiny black cats hidden among the blooms. This project will feature Series 4 of my popular mystery bag black cats & plants pin collection, expanding on it with several brand new pin designs, stickers, sticker sheets, mini pins, and more!
My name is Zandra, and I'm a full-time freelance illustrator and graphic designer with 10+ years of experience. I absolutely LOVE drawing cats, and they are very frequently the subjects of my illustration and product design work!
I'm a big fan in general of stylized design and being able to merge my graphic design experience with my illustrations and products. Innovating on items that already exist with fun twists, unique ideas, and interesting executions with my own ideas is something I take a lot of pride in!

This collection is one I've been growing since 2023 with the Autumn Leaves set, and ever since then, I've fallen in love with drawing these tiny, cute little cats peeking out of the colorful flora.
With each new installment, I strive to create designs that are unique and stylized, while still being recognizable as their given flower or plant to create a pop of color and a bold look.
In total I've designed 20 enamel pin designs that all mesh cohesively with each other as a collectible set and with this campaign, I'll be adding 6 brand new designs to the roster as well as something new: matching mini filler pins!
In order to keep the set as cohesive as possible, each pin design follows a similar setup of specifications below! The regular size pins are meant to be small in nature, with none exceeding 31mm (1.22 inches).
Why an epoxy finish?
In order for a pin design to utilize dyed metal, it cannot be created in the usual hard enamel style. I opted for an epoxy finish since this collection's creation in 2023, which gives the design a "hard enamel" appearance that is smooth and flat to the touch. The epoxy allows for a very clean and appealing finish to the designs and even gives the black dyed metal a pretty sheen.
Additional Epoxy Benefits
In addition to the higher quality appearance of the design, the epoxy also benefits the longevity of the design. Due to the hardening quality of epoxy, both the soft enamel and the dyed metal on the front of the pin become sealed and resists scratching and chipping!
You will also be able to add any of these items onto your pledge if you don't see what exactly what you're looking for in the pledge levels! You can add keychains, enamel pins, mini pin sets, vinyl stickers, and sticker sheets to your order at any point during the campaign.

Since the Snackoonsprojectinvolves Raccoons and Snacks and Black Cat Botanicals features Cats and Flowers, we decided to swap our concepts with the characters featured in the campaign for a cute crossover between our projects.

For this project I had the honor of working with two fantastic artists to bring Black Cat Botanicals to life in their personal styles as campaign-exclusive sticker designs!
Jushmu (she/her)
Julie is a Canadian illustrator who loves using bright colours and creating a bunch of silly little guys. From cryptids to critters, Jushmu has all sorts of trinkets and treasures for those with a silly heart.
Liz is a full time illustrator and designer who creates art inspired by critters both cute and creepy. Their main body of work focuses on designing clown plushies for their Carnival Critters series!
Michelle is a lettering artist and graphic designer from Pennsylvania. She loves drawing letters and especially creating custom hand drawn logos for clients. Michelle has 2 cats, loves cake, and co-runs Catmint Studios with her partner.
Below are key dates to keep in mind for the campaign. While I don't anticipate delays, all backers will be kept up to date regarding any necessary extensions to the timeline.
📦💸 Shipping fees will be collected separately once the campaign ends. Once the campaign has concluded, your payment info on file will be used to secure your pledge. After that step is complete, you will be charged for shipping after you've filled out your survey and selected the items you want.
📦🌎 Fulfillment Information. All items will be packaged and shipped by me from my home in Pennsylvania, USA.
🚫 EU/UK Information. Due to the ongoing complexities of VAT and registrations varying from country to country in Europe, I will not be shipping to the EU or the UK. I apologize for the inconvenience!

I have a lot of experience, both in in running successful crowdfunding campaigns, as well as running my own online storefront for the last 8 years fulfilling thousands of orders. I've successfully designed, produced, and shipped dozens of enamel pins, of stickers, keychains, and other products. I'm familiar with the manufacturing processes and the possible pitfalls to be aware of in production.
✔ PRODUCTION The manufacturer I'll be using is one who I have a long working relationship with and I've shipped hundreds of pins with them. They are reliable and I trust they will continue to provide me high quality pins and a smooth production. ✔ PIN DESIGNS Due to the difference in color variance of computer monitors, actual product colors may vary slightly from the colors shown in the final piece. Additionally, very slight changes might be made to the design in order to hold the integrity during the manufacturing process, but nothing so drastic that will change what you can expect based on the mockups seen in the campaign.
✔ PIN GRADING All pins and stickers are individually checked by me to ensure quality. I grade my pins carefully to make sure there are no overt flaws, scuffs, dimples, or scratches. On the off chance that a batch arrives with too many defects, it will be remade so each backer will be given a quality product.

Pledge now Risk-Free, Pay later: You can always change or cancel your pledge at any time during the campaign. You will only be charged when the project ends, if we reach our initial $450 base goal. If we're unsuccessful in reaching the base goal by the end of the campaign date, you will not be charged.
