We are only offering the PDF level for this, as we do not want to impact our operating funds by adding more items that will cost us to produce.

I noticed my card was declined pretty early on so I'd say this happened to more than a few. My work around (which I believe the decline was an authorisation error) was to completely remove the card and re-add it using the google pay option with the card added to my google wallet. Payment was taken instantly after that.
Project Update: WE ARE FUNDED!
We were supposed to have late backing available but it appears to not be there, so we will be working out a PDF option or Pre-Order or something!
Once we have our funds will update with the final list of what is being produced, so stay tuned for that as well!

Project Update: UPDATE-A-MANIA!
We are in the home stretch, thanks to all of you! I never imagined we would get this far, and sure some have fallen along the road, but the vast majority march onwards, picking up heroes as we go!
9 Days Left! Spread the word! Let's unlock more and more stretch goals!
You know what? You earned this, but linked for Backers only in this update is the first Production document. The layout is the same, most of the bones are in place, and there's been quite a bit of expansion (check out all those groovy Appendices!).
This is as close to the final form of the rules we will see, now it's all narrative writing, clarifications, and layout/art, so this is the game you will play on release, just in a very raw format!
Also linked is a cool new character sheet that gets the job done for our purposes, hope it does for yours as well!
I know some of you love VTTs and for that we even included tactical combat rules just for folks who love that visual feel! Well we have our own homegrown Roll20 API+Macros that we'll be rolling out soon. I heard a rumour that one of our backers is working on the FoundryVTT module for HEROIC! Lastly, the awesome folks at Diceweaver reached out to us and wanted to be our OFFICIAL VTT. We checked it out and heartily said HECK YEAH! Check out more about them at their website!

As we want to make the very best superhero RPG, I'm asking that if you have not already done so - please download the 3.1 version of the Beta rules on the front page (near the top). Then dig in and while all the great work Bear has put together might distract you, please help us make it even better. To do that, I ask that you send me an email (colorist at comic.com) with the subject "HEROIC Edit" with items in the book that you found needed a bit more clarity, or seemed to you to not line up with another part of the book. PLEASE, do not offer suggestions as to what to add or re-word sections - in part or whole - as I cannot take those, instead you can point out items for us to tweak as needed and leave the results up to us. Project Update: UPDATE: HEROIC HANDBOOK TO VILLAINOUS VOL 1
Based on your feedback the HEROIC HANDBOOK name is now being reserved for our companion rules that we plan for later in the lifecycle of HEROIC RPG.
This means we needed a new name of what was the HH stretch goal, and as such we are going to do it right;
Villainous: Special Edition will now be a full 12 villains, with alternate concepts on how to make them heroes if you want, for use in your campaign.
This also means the Backer ICON characters will become a separate compilation, as it's own book and POD will be provided to all Print backers!
So what does this mean in the TLDR world? You now get an additional book, as well as a dedicated villain book to kick off our villain roster books moving forward!
So you win on all fronts :)
I just went to upgrade to the Premium Color version. But instead of it being $100cdn total, it is adding an extra $100cdn on top of the $70cdn... There's no way that can be right right can it? That would be about $125 US before even paying for shipping. That would be an absolutely insane price for a 200ish page book and more than double any premium color book I've ever ordered off of here (and about triple what you can order most other 200 page premiums right now for).

Project Update: UPDATE: WHIMSEY CARDS LOCKED AGAIN
Sad to say when I woke up this morning, without losing any backers overnight we somehow dropped a few hundred dollars and are now under the amount needed to unlock the Whimsey Cards.
As we have more backers than we did 3 days ago, I am at a bit of a loss.
So we get back to the grind of spreading the good word about this game and try to claw back that lost ground!
