The Unheist of Hearthburn House: Mansion Decorating Madness
You serve a dragon who has been asleep for many years. While the dragon has been sleeping, you... borrowed it's valuables to decorate your house. But now the dragon is waking up, and you must hurry to return its treasures before it's too late!

The Unheist of Hearthburn house is a casual mansion decoration game for 3-6 players. Players take on the role of kobolds who must put back stolen goods before the dragon wakes from its slumber. You must work together with your friends, but only one player will win!
Work Together
Pick your Leader and pass the Assistant clockwise. You are on two different teams determined by the color of your kobolds!
Dodge Dragon Fire!
Each turn, the active player draws from the Dragon Bag. These tokens have various effects, but you never want to be caught in front of the dragon when it breathes fire!
Pull "Stuff" From Your Bag
Draw "Stuff" tokens from the Leader's bag. Stuff tokens placed in the correct room earn your team points.
Navigate The Mansion
Collaborate with your teammate to navigate the mansion and place Stuff in the Best Spot. Best spots are worth the most points for the first Kobold to arrive.
Sabotage Other Kobolds
Not everyone fights fair in the Unheist! Players can sabotage each other by rotating the Mansion or using Goodie cards.
Earn the Dragon's Favor!
You must work with your teammates in the Unheist, but only one person wins! Each player tallies the scores for their team colors and adds them together.
It was honestly a blast to work with Caitlyn on this project and she nailed the aesthetic. The Unheist of Hearthburn House looks stunning!

Mansion Decorating Contest Update
A huge thank you to everyone who has submitted a room for the competition so far. We were going to have members from the team create rooms as examples, but the submissions so far have been so great that we'd rather share those!
As a reminder, the competition runs through September 4th. The specific contest details can be found in our previous update.
What Else is Coming Pre-Launch?
In addition to the contest, we will be sharing a sneak preview at the game. This will be done through a deep-dive into specific mechanics and reviewer feedback.

Master Hearthburn is tired of how their mansion is decorated and wants YOU to spice up the decor! Use the items available to you to decorate a room in the mansion and show you are the best interior decorator in the town.
What is the Mansion Decorating Contest?
The goal of the contest is to design the best room using the art assets provided from The Unheist of Hearthburn House. These are the actual art pieces that will be used in the game, at your disposal to design the coolest room in the Hearthburn Mansion.
Select a room type you want to decorate, then organize as many of the decorations as you want into the room. Be as creative as you would like, but only use the art assets provided. Below is an example of what a room can look like once finished.
We recommend using Canva as a free tool to combine the room and decorations, but feel free to use any application you choose!
How do I Enter into the Contest?
Once you have completed your room, submit the google form located here. The timeline for the competition is as follows:
We will be accepting submissions through September 4th
On September 7th, we will pick 3 finalists
Community voting will occur between September 7th and 11th with the winner being crowned on September 12th
What can I Win?
All three of the finalists will win the Junk plushie and have it included in their order for free! The winner willalso receive a free add-on of their choice and bragging rights to all of their friends.

We survived Gen Con!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at GenCon! We had a great time showcasing The Unheist of Hearthburn House (and our other games) to you all! We were even lucky enough to avoid the rain in the convention hall and continue working through the tornado warning.
Playtester's Thoughts on Unheist
Your excitement and engagement with the Unheist was infectious to our team, and we are pumped to share more about the game in the weeks running up to launch. But don't just take it from us, see what one of our playtesters from the Dillsburg Board Game group has to say about the game!
We are planning on launching in midSeptember 2026. Between now and then, we plan on providing deeper dives into the game mechanics, the team and design process, as well as a friendly competition with prizes. Stay tuned for more!
