Weapons Grade Funk

Weapons Grade Funk is a solo-run tabletop gaming company headed by Emily Fraser, a queer creator with a single guiding focus: Friends who write together grow together.

With each product I create, I'm looking to bring something to the world that promotes people telling stories in environments they're not used to. Narratives resonate with us when we find familiarity in them, but I've found we can find that familiarity in places we never expected to see it once we break out of the paths we've always walked.

 

It's my goal to have players lean back at the end of a game, shocked at how invested they've become. I want them to grieve over hurts they can't identify, delight over triumphs they never considered important, witness the journeys of players around them and be amazed at their own compersion, and at the end of all ask themselves:

 

"Why is it that I feel this way about this?"

Because we find, with role playing adventures, tabletop games, and every other combination of friends at a table willing to be vulnerable with each other, that those questions have amazing, unexpected, and life changing answers if you're brave enough to speak them aloud.
