Mark Evans

He dreams of mass murderers. Then he has to kill them. Nexus turns 45 — and WHAT IT IS finally tells the whole story. Unseen art, untold history, one oversized 9×12 volume. New to Nexus? Back now for immediate access to our new Nexus Reading Library.

324 pages, 12x17 inches. Full-color finished art paired side by side with the original pencils and inks from Eisner Award winner Steve Rude. Most oversized editions show only black-and-white scans. This one also shows the final color art.

45 years of Nexus. A brand new sketchbook. Steve's painted "The Escape" cover, a year of sketches and handwritten notes — and a new way to be part of what comes next.

Pull Up a Chair in the Nexus Studio. We’re building the next Eisner-Winning Nexus story—script drafts inks, rough thumbnails, early lettering, margin scribbles and indecision included. If you love the messy magic behind a comic, you're home.
