Modi Boxi is a modular 3D-printable storage system co-created by Trapper Markelz and Jeff Paradiso, designed to transform how tabletop gamers, hobbyists, and creators organize and interact with their gear. What began as a passion project to address the chaos of paints, miniatures, cards, and tools quickly evolved into one of the largest STL-based Kickstarter successes, with thousands of backers and a rapidly growing ecosystem of printable STL files.
Built around a unique bolt-based connection system, Modi Boxi allows users to create fully customized storage solutions that expand infinitely in any direction. Unlike traditional storage, it is designed not just to hold items, but to actively support gameplay and creative work by keeping everything visible, accessible, and ready to use.
Now, Trapper and Jeff are taking the next step with the launch of Modi Case, an evolution of the system into a fully integrated, hinged “gaming command center.” Modi Case opens to reveal an entire setup at once, eliminating the need to unpack and rearrange components. It brings together storage, transport, and active use into a single cohesive experience.
Together, Modi Boxi and Modi Case represent a shift from passive storage to interactive systems, empowering creators to design their own environments for play, creativity, and organization using nothing more than a 3D printer and imagination.
