Call me LA or Sarah.
I draw and still do digital and traditional art.
I studied to be a character designer for animation. But sadly that has not panned out. I am an out of work bum basically. I used to walk dogs in my neighborhood but covid killed that need. Now most of the dogs I walked have passed on as well.
So this project I hope will be a gateway into future projects including more plush, plush back packs, faux fur and so forth.
I have done pottery and I love playing and working with real clay but, obviously it will dry and break easily if it's not fired in a kiln. Which makes this a hassle for 3 reasons.
1. I can't afford the cost of using a studio ($200 + gas + materials)
2. I can't do my own home kiln due to my mother's fear of fire.
3. And we lack the 210 amp outlet to run it ._.
Polymer clays are fun but, I can't say my stuff looks that great xD. Plus I have to use our toaster oven. The smell irritates my mom and if you lived with her you wouldn't go down this road either.
I currently do veg tanned leather work but, it is time intensive! Which means making it as a living is a major challenge. It's also hard on the wrists and elbows. I like to do a lot of designs on my leather.
So why do I not get a 9-5 job? My anxiety. I had a retail job before my anxiety hit and for the pay it's not worth the extra stress for my health. And now I have to detail with BPPV a type of vertigo that comes on with no real triggers other than the crystals in my inner ear get loose and make my life a nightmare.
