Lonnie “Lo” Plater is the Founder, Writer, and Creator behind Dark City Comics & Multimedia, an independent publisher dedicated to building original, creator-owned comic book universes. His flagship series, E.P.I.C. (Earth’s Protector In Crisis), launched successfully on Kickstarter, raising over $6,800 from 153 backers and delivering both physical and digital rewards to supporters.
Inspired by a lifelong love of comics, film, and storytelling, Lo focuses on creating character-driven stories that blend superhero action, mythology, science fiction, and real-world consequences. Through Dark City Comics, he is developing an interconnected universe of heroes, villains, and evolving storylines designed to grow across comics, merchandise, and future multimedia projects.
When he’s not writing comics, Lo works directly with artists, colorists, and creators from around the world to bring the Dark City Universe to life—one issue at a time.
