Hi everyone, happy Friday!

I wanted to give another update on fulfillment progress.

Surveys have been sent out, and so far there doesn't seem to be any errors that folks have been running into! We are currently at a 90% completion rate for surveys and I wanted to thank everyone for speedily filling it out!

There are still around 39 people I'm waiting on to fill out their surveys, so if this is you, please get it filled out soon!

The binders and the keychains are both currently in progress for the sampling stage! 🎉🎉 Factories are currently on holiday, so things may be just a bit slow until they come back next week.

Folks have asked me when I plan to lock orders and charge cards for shipping.

Since I have to order such a high MOQ for each design, we're currently in no danger of running out of any particular design, so I've decided I won't be locking orders and charging cards until all of the binder samples have been shown! 

Once all binder samples are approved and shown here, I'll give everyone one more week to adjust their orders after we've seen what each binder will look like in person in case anyone has any last minute changes they'd like to make.

I'll post an update with the official lock date once I have that info!

So sorry for the double update, but I completely forgot to say in the update before, even the designs that dropped off will still be available in sticker form!!

All designs are unlocked as stickers, so if there are any designs that don't get funded that you really love, worry not!

The stickers are more detailed, since I'm not quite comfortable with screenprinting for pins yet. Here are a  some examples!! (These are only tests and may be slightly different than the final product. )

Hoorah! We've now unlocked the special double layered female Ruddy Darter dragonfly pin, it is now available as a separate pledge level and add-on option if you'd like to get one!

We've now got just two stretch goals left to try and reach and unlock the rather unique and colourful Dicarnosis erythracephala wasp and the Blue carpenter bee....

Before I add any more stretch goals to the line up I wanted to check in and ask you lovely lot what you'd be keen to see, so I've added a poll at the bottom for you vote in, and don't forget you can always comment with your ideas on this post.

Hi all,

I've been busy drawing away so have a few design sneak peeks to share with you all but first decisions need to be made..

So I've got a few options for merch, I'm staying fairly safe for the initial items and going with products I've made lots of before, so it'll be either wooden mini pins or hanging decorations to start with. The choice is yours by voting in the poll attached to this update! My reasoning for this is the turn around on this project is quite short and I want to focus my time on designing lots of your great insect suggestions rather than researching suppliers etc.

With that in mind here's a quick look at some of the designs I've been working on, some of you will recognise your suggestions but don't worry if you don't see yours yet, I've got lots of them on my to do list!

Whichever merch you pick in the poll below, I'll be adding spot gloss detail to the wings in the designs which have them, to give a special lifelike shiny finish. The product that comes in second in the vote will be added as a stretch goal, along with possibly a special holographic sticker sheet and maybe a notebook too?! Let me know what you think of these ideas in the chat!

We are shipping out orders using the Backerkit segments feature! This allows us to group up your orders into sets of 100 for the workday to B grade and pack. This also means we are locking addresses in sections and by week. If your order is going out that week, you will receive a 48 hour notification email on Monday or Tuesday for final address lock. Please update your address on time, as we are buying and printing shipping labels after that 48 hour period. You may update your address on your own at any time by following these steps below.

If you have not received a 48 hour notice for final address lock email, your order is not scheduled to be sent out that week. Keep in mind if you ordered a product/ addon that is still being manufactured as apart of your order; we cannot send your package until all items of your order are ready to ship at once. This is because you only paid for shipping once. Please refer to our manufacturing update posts for status on items you purchased if you are curious.
