The Starter Set
MIR – MИP in Cyrillic alphabet – is a role-playing game of investigation and horror-themed intrigue set in a Dark Fantasy universe. You play as an agent of MIR, an organization tasked with protecting reality from the Echoes of the Ruin.
The Starter Set includes:
A 160-page book featuring an introduction to the setting, the rules, and a 15-hours scenario titled “Hide and Seek”
6 ready-to-play characters
A 3-panel GM screen that wraps around the book
You are an Echo Hunter, an agent of the MIR
Hunt the Catalysts—the unfortunate whose traumas have materialized—to seal their Echo. Destroy them to win in peace at the cost of hope. Save them for a greater reward at the cost of sacrifice. The choice is yours.
Lead the investigation, choose the culprit
Survive power struggles through Intrigue. Manipulate factions and dignitaries to force them to aid you. Pay the price for your alliances... Or... Betray your promises.
A game system designed for storytelling
MIR is a game of horror and dilemmas, where fights are realistic and death is always a possibility. Players’ choices shape their stories: every victory comes at a cost—will they be willing to pay the price?
Our system uses the D12: a roll of 7 or higher is a success, and a roll of 12 counts as two successes. To succeed at an action, you must obtain as many successes as the Exarch (the Game Master) requires.
When you exceed the required number of successes, you increase your success. Combat and Intrigues—verbal confrontations—work the same way.
Game Master Screen
The Game Master Screen is included and serves as a case, wrapping around the starter set. Its designs have been harmonized with those of the book’s cover and other unified elements of the game.
An introductory scenario included
“Hide and Seek” is a Hunt set in the city of Charosmé, the capital of Coloné, a mountainous region of the Systeran Empire. This first Echo Hunt will confront agents with numerous dilemmas, choices, and sacrifices.

Play as a MIR agent and use their powerful Arts to hunt the Echoes. Choose between Callia the Imperial Agent, Filia the Mage of Unicity, Adalbert the Veneatori Mask Maker, Erinos the Anicean Knight, Bekan the Iluvetist War Heart, or Candara the Anicean Wanderer.
