The Triangle Agency Fan Zine

MOCK-UP. DESIGN NOT FINAL. THE REAL ZINE WILL BE THICKER. Cover illustration by Kodasea! This image depicts a Triangle Agency employee holding a magazine with a Bauhaus-style cover design featuring alternating red, yellow, and blue characters. The first character of the sequence also carries a magazine with the same illustration on it, creating a picture-in-picture effect.

What's In This Zine?
THE TRIANGLE AGENCY FAN ZINE showcases community creations, including art, 3rd party game content (missions, ARC pieces), and in-universe articles. In the current version of the zine, you may find:
  • 6 Missions to run at your table
  • More ARC pieces! 2 Competencies, a Reality, and an Anomaly
  • Over 100 pages of artwork, GM resources, requisitions, and so much more!

The zine layout was done by Haasio in the spirit of the visual style of the Triangle Agency books.
Huge thanks to Kodasea for illustrating the front cover!

The PDF version of the zine is available for free to read on itch.io, CHECK IT OUT HERE!

What is Triangle Agency?
A TTRPG by Haunted Table Games!  Here's an excerpt from the Triangle Agency itch.io page:
Triangle Agency is a tabletop role-playing game about wielding enormous, reality-warping power while navigating bureaucratic red tape and juggling your everyday responsibilities. It seamlessly transitions between chilling horror, wacky comedy, and the emotional truth of trying to survive in a world with no right answers.

Bigger, Better, Breaking into Reality

"We'd like to thank you all for the overwhelming support for our <Office Newsletter/Fanzine>! Thanks to your interest, we are now expanding into physical Reality!"

What's New in the Print Edition?

  • New Missions! Several new pieces of art and writing.
  • Some existing submissions have been revised.
  • All contributor's names listed on back cover.
  • Cover art expansion by Kodasea!
  • The PDF version will have a linked table of contents + some QoL fixes
Other Changes
  • 2-page spread artworks have been reduced to half-page format for print logistics.
  • In the printed zine, the Fire Anomaly playwall will be replaced by a QR code leading to a digital playwall document. Pagecount reduced by 25 pages for print logistics. The playwall will be present in the downloadable PDF version of this <Office Newsletter/Fanzine>. The playwall will be printed if the stretch goal is met.

The zine is getting an expansion. The print edition expansion will be available to read as a free PDF on itch.io regardless if this print run is successfully funded or not.

Rewards & Stretch Goals

DESIGN NOT FINAL. Mockup! Absolutely no secrets or surprises in this zine.

The Physical Zine!

Over 120 pages long! This 8.5x11 inch softcover book will sit nicely next to Triangle Agency on your shelf. Its cover is matte-laminated for protection from scratches and scuffing. We don't plan on a second print run, so this is your only chance to grab one!

Stickers!

Jude and Haasio have created some sticker designs. Funds raised by the stickers will be separate from the main funds, and will be used to compensate the organizers for their time with book transportation and other shipping logistics, as well as the additional formatting needed for printing.

You can purchase stickers through the "Add-Ons" menu.

You! Employee of the Month!

Wyllora and Haasio are offering sketch and pixel sprite commissions to include YOUR Agent/GM in the zine's new "Employees of the Month" section.  You also receive the image file for personal use. Funds raised by these art commissions will be separate from the main funds, and will be used to compensate the organizers for their time.

Stretch Goals

every single stretch goal has been met.

"Thank you for your support! Every stretch goal has been met, so all remaining funds will go towards further discounting shipping for everyone."

Cost Breakdown

This print run is not-for-profit! Funds raised by the zine will go entirely towards the production and shipping of the zine (with the exception of add-on sticker and commission sales).
Estimations based on a 50-book print run. Manufacturing costs: 71.9%. Cover commission cost: 9.8%. Backerkit fees: 4.5%. Taxes/VAT/Currency conversion: 5.8%. Stripe fees: 3.6%. Packaging costs: 4.4%

On the Cost

Because this is a small print run (estimating between 50-100 books), the quantity of books can have a huge impact on the cost-per-book! The current $32 estimate is based on calculations for 50 books. As we get more orders, the cost-per-book will decrease!

If the cost of the pre-order exceeds the final cost of ordering a book, your excess pre-order payment will be credited towards the cost of your shipping, which will be calculated at the beginning of order fulfillment.

Estimated price reductions by order count: 75 zine orders? Estimated shipping cost reduced by around $2. 100 zine orders? Estimated shipping cost reduced by around $4
Edit
Shipping & Logistics

Shipping will be charged after the fundraising period!

We will be doing fulfillment from USA and Czechia. All North America orders will be fulfilled from the USA, and all international orders will be fulfilled from Czechia.

All prices below are BEFORE discounts earned through bulk ordering.

USA estimated cost of shipping (domestic):
~$10

Canada estimated cost of shipping (from the USA):
~$20-25 (we have a small budget set aside for reducing Canada shipping costs.  It would usually cost around $30)

EU estimated cost of shipping:
~$10-15 (check from Czechia to your country!)

Logistics

There will be a split print run to avoid tariffs. North American orders will be printed in the USA by Mixam.  International orders will be printed in Czechia by ON-tisk. We have also factored import fees, taxes, and currency conversion fees into the cost.

Meet the Team & Credits
Artwork by Haasio depicting <our team/our Agents> working on the print edition of the zine.

Haasio - Layout Artist, Budgeting & Project Manager
  • InDesign nerd in training. For better or for worse, known for playing a sunglasses-wearing Manifold Agent who sent two fellow Agents to the Vault.
Wyllora - Communications & Organizing
  • Can't wait to get home from bad bureaucracy to play worse bureaucracy. Her Manifold Agent is a pink-sweatered homage to Shirley Jackson's Hill House.
Corinna "Jude" Maria Liptáková - Print Logistics & Budgeting
  • Weird mixed media art horse. He plays a Dream Agent whose hair may or may not be alive and tends to trap people inside an empty hotel dimension. We're working on that one.
the_pencil_head "Cat" - Editor
  • Former publishing intern, current fanzine editor. Her Growth Agent is fond of the color yellow and disgusted by the concept of change.

Huge thanks to Haunted Table Games for their support and creating Triangle Agency!

Shoutout to Satah and Caleb for helping with publicity + helping us navigate the licensing in this campaign!

Risks & Challenges

Due to the current state of global politics, there is a risk that tariffs increase or change. Currently, we do not expect to encounter any issues with tariffs due to the content (books), the scale of the production (small), and our plan to print in separate countries to avoid import tariffs. If anything changes, we'll send communications through Backerkit.

But this isn't our first rodeo— Haasio has experience with crowdfunding! You can see her previous work making Tale of Scales work on Kickstarter.

If there are a truly enormous amount of orders (120+), we may have to extend the length of order fulfillment or do waves of manufacturing and fulfillment due to our small team size. Again, any updates or changes will be sent through Backerkit.
