Project Update: Adventure themes selected! Closing in on an achievement!
The votes are in! We’re excited to announce the themes for the two one-page adventures:
- Cryopod Cache: A wreck filled with frozen secrets waiting to be thawed, with a monstrous surprise.
- Sabotage: A high-stakes mission to destroy a key resource, while testing your crew's loyalty and sanity.
The competition was fierce, and Lost Convoy came in a very close third. We love this idea too, and we’re exploring opportunities to bring it to life in the future. Stay tuned!
Until next time!

Project Update: Free Bifold Adventure + MoSh Madness Loser's Bracket, Round 1
Hello folks,
If you missed it, I have been releasing interviews with Mothership Month creators:
- R.A. Creedon & Elliot Norwood
- Julius Karajos, Andrew C. Manson, and Abrah Nassif
- Adrian Hunt & Ben King
This adventure was inspired by Wages of Sin and the city of Midgar in Final Fantasy VII. The game was released on itch.io and you can grab it here for free!
We hope you enjoy it!
MoSh Madness Accelerated Loser's Bracket
Ok, at least I got THIS one right, our second champ is browncoat Mal Reynolds!
Now that we have our second place to pop into the Loser's Bracket. This is inspired by the way my high school friends and I used to do all-night Super Smash Bros 64 tournaments, 20+ years ago. It's a bit silly maybe, but it is fun. (Funny thing, I am still terrible at SSB64.) Here is the Loser's Bracket:
Voting is one day only!
I know who I am rooting for in Round 1! Cast your vote for the SF Scoundrel Underdog!
All best,
Chris Airiau
Project Update: 10K goals, free game jam module, The Panic Table Interview
Madness! This means we’re making the full TV ad in-game for Hope’s Serum, which is going to be sweet as!
Cheers!
Andrew
Project Update: Ruck up Bullet catcher!
Small visual update: Gear you can get during this Campaign:
🎯First up, the Community reward: more patches! But as a sticker sheet!
Every physical pledge during this campaign will get a sticker sheet featuring several of the mercenary patches you can roll for your characters in the zine. Design was by me, but the final touch in "patchifying it" was done by talented Carlson from Devils Due !
If you’re lucky enough to roll one of these patches for your character, you can stick it right onto your sheet to make it extra fancy! Or, use them to pimp out your laptop or anything else to show off how tough you are!
And that’s not all - every pledge will also include .png files for all the patches separately as part of the campaign rewards. That way, you can use them however you’d like!
🗺️Next one is the upgrade for map.
- One with CRT scanlines
- One with a damaged paper look
🦜 And now some links and interviews!
🎙️ Interview with Ben from Columbary TTRP (funding Knowledge Asymmetry)
I had a great conversation with Ben, where we talked about this module and some behind-the-scenes insights into it:
🎙️ Mini-interview with Chris from 5MW
Chris, who’s involved in several projects (he has a contributions for Devils Due, mentioned earlier, and ic crowdfunding his own Not Enough Scoundrels), and I had a mini-interview about the module:
🛠️ Mothership Tavern Jam Contributions
I also made a small, fun, and not-too-serious mini-dungeon filled with traps:
Additionally, I worked with a fantastic group of creators from Mothership Month on another project, overseen and curated by Chris from 5MW:
🏁 See you soon, we are approaching the finish line!
Btw. which patch is your favorite? ;-)

Hey there! I saw the physical versions of Voidstream listed in the available Add-ons, but only the digital ones appeared to be available? I added those, cause they look rad! But I did want to ask if the physical versions are still available to add as well?
Project Update: Weekend Update #3: More Art, New Add-Ons, and Project Updates
Quick check-in this week to keep you in the loop on behind the scenes happenings with Awaiting the Burning Gods.
Lets Start with some New Art!
New Add-Ons
Project Update
While I've been working on that, DAI has been laying out the text of the zine itself. Even with the Smuggler's Guide content separated out into its own book we're looking at around 32-36 pages for just the Awaiting the Burning Gods adventure alone. Awesome!
Alright, that's a wrap for this week. Questions, comments, hellos? Reach out in the comments below - I'm happy to answer anything you'd like to know about the zine and the production process. The home stretch of the campaign approaches! Thanks for being a part of this ride so far, can't wait for what comes next.
All the best,
Dave
Project Update: Artist Insight
Hey everyone, Boson here with a couple of words about the visual side of things.
From the conversations with CK about the world, I felt the overarching theme and general feeling about this project to be “attrition.” While each might have a drastically different approach, every survivor in this series is consumed with picking up the pieces, licking their wounds, and just trying to stay alive.
This is a story of the aftermath. I hope the art illustrates their scars: physical, emotional, and mental adequately. I wanted the technology to be “advanced enough” with obvious shortcuts made and less than ideal repairs abundant.
As for technicals: Procreate is the tool, with the default “technical pen” that's been heavily customized for my particular pressure tendencies from bad ergonomics. Lots of tropes from 90s comic art (or homages if you wanna be nice). Generous uses of layers to self correct, etc…. Typical digital artist shit. For color, I almost always start with lassos and complementary colors, then something dry brushy or gouche in low opacity for layering. I definitely utilize a great brushpack from Jason Piperberg (https://jasonpiperberg.gumroad.com/l/hKBUm) for the Kirby Krackle effect. Please support the brushmakers, every dollar helps.
Oh, and as for the video soundtrack: it’s my buddy’s band Outsick! from Baltimore, MD. (https://outsickhc.bandcamp.com/) . Grown ass folk making HC Punk about annoying Grown Ass topics. Drop them a listen on their soundcloud/insta/youtube/what have you.
Hello again! Just checking back in to see if this might be a possibility! Many thanks!
