Project Update: We reached 400 followers (and there's 7 days left before launch)!

We reached 400 followers!/Nous avons atteint 400 abonnés!

Thank you so much for being here! Without you, this really wouldn't be possible. We're quite overwhelmed with the support (for some it's just 400 people, but for us it's like WOW 400 PEOPLE LIKE "THIS")!

As promised, we will release an article on the four remaining Hearts (Envious, Tainted, Tender, and Wild). At the same time, we will add a part for the ones in the demo too!

Stay tuned, we'll be back very, very soon (on Sunday)!

Next stop: 450! There's not much time left, but if we reach that number, we will add the digital Last Hope Artbook to all pledges that includes the game! Yes, yes, for free!
Once we reach 450 followers, we will add a digital Last Hope artbook to all pledges that includes the game!
Goal: 414 / 450
92%
We need 36 more to reach this goal.

Project Update: One Hundred Dungeons Countdown ⏱️ - 8 days to go!

Heya Dungeoneer,

We're just over one week away from the launch of One Hundred Dungeons!

I'm a little excited and a little nervous about what comes next. Hopefully you'll be with me over the next week and support the campaign when it goes live. If you're not signed up to the prelaunch yet - click here.

Daily Dungeons

Over the next week (starting tomorrow 30 April), I'm releasing a new dungeon each day for you to play and share with your friends. They look a little like this...

To make them as accessible as possible, I'm sharing them daily in multiple locations:
- On Instagram - @word.dungeon
- On Facebook - Word Dungeon
- On Reddit - in a new dedicated subreddit r/worddungeon
- In this google drive

I can't wait for you to give them a go!

How you can help

There's a few things you can do, but most importantly, play one of the dungeons. Try it out and see if you like it!

Once you've played, share it with a friend, challenge them to complete it, then send them to the prelaunch page so that they can sign up too.

That's actually the biggest way that you can support the campaign - share it.

To help you out with that, here's an image you can post in your family whatsapp or any community you think would like it, and a link to share too.

https://www.backerkit.com/call_to_action/69e79886-e8bc-4150-ac78-83c0a58ce57c/landing?ref=update29April

Thanks as always for your support.

Enjoy the daily dungeons!

Project Update: Cross Collaboration Update - Midnight in Jubilation

An image of a male-presenting figure with hair swept back into a low ponytail and a thin goatee beard. They are smirking to themself as they look off to the side. To their right is a soundwave pattern.

Jamie: "Good evening, Night Stalkers and Sleep Talkers, you’re listening to Jubilation Radio with your host, Jamie Danno.

Well, well listeners, you’ve blown us away with your…let’s say enthusiasm to hear more community updates. That’s right, we’ve been receiving some very…enthusiastic messages from people wanting to know more about the cross collaboration between resident Dorian Blackwood, of Blackwood Press, and Free for All Media.

I’d like to gently remind our listeners that if you have anything you want to share with us, it’s always best to call us here at Jubilation Radio Station. We’d much prefer that than you leaving highly personal messages on the windscreen of my car. Or nailed to my front door. [-1 Cope. No Cope remaining.]

But I know you’re all champing at the bit for this next bit—haha! So, without further ado, let’s introduce tonight’s very special guest. Say hello Dorian!”

Dorian: “Hi there Jubilation. My name is Dorian Blackwood and my pronouns are they/them. I’m a disabled creator with a love of tabletop games, or TTRPGs for short. Thank you to everyone who has followed the teaser page for my project. I’m so excited to share this game with you all.”

Jamie: “And we’re excited for you Dorian. Now, what’s this cross collaboration all about?”

Dorian: “Well, Free for All Media is the game studio behind My Very Own Forest Spirit, an innovative RPG inspired by the likes of My Neighbor Totoro and Stroll-Playing Games. It’s a game of imagination and wonder, which you play whilst out in nature. You can play it alone, or with friends.  I actually used the playtest version in my backyard and can definitely see ways to tailor gameplay to suit your individual needs.”

A banner image showing a book titled "My Very Own Forest Spirit”. Beside it is text which reads: “My Very Own Forest Spirit: A game of imagination and empathy. Coming soon to Pocketopia on Backerkit.” In the bottom right corner a person with a backpack walks along behind an inquisitive looking mushroom spirit that is about hip height.

Jamie: “Mmph!” [-1 Cope. No Cope left, gained 1 Harm]

Dorian: “Uh…Jamie, are you okay? You’ve got a little—is that blood?”

Jamie: “Apologies listeners, I was trying to bite my tongue so I didn’t interrupt Dorian there from sheer excitement, and must have bit down a little too hard. Haha…ha.”

Dorian: “Should I keep going, or…?”

Jamie: “Please. I don’t think our listeners would allow either of us to leave this studio until this interview is done.”

Dorian: “I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed by the amount of support my game has received so far. We’re so lucky to live in a place like Jubilation where community is everything. The town is everything. We are everything.”

Jamie: “That’s definitely what I meant too. But back to the cross-collab…”

Dorian: “Right. So, the premise of the game is that our world—once drained of its energy, is slowly beginning to wake up again, and spirits are coming back to the land to heal it. As part of the cross collaboration, I’ve provided descriptions of some unique spirits you can meet. For folks who back both Midnight in Jubilation and My Very Own Forest Spirit at our set tiers, you’ll receive this exclusive content.

While our games might have quite different genres, I think we’re connected in that these are imagination-rich, solo-ready experiences that you can really make your own. I hope listeners will check out not only our games, but the other incredible projects going live in a little under a week when Pocketopia launches.”

Jamie: “I’m sure they will. But my producer is merciful—I mean, mindful of our schedule and is indicating it’s time we go to our song break. Dorian, I believe you had a recommendation for us?”

Dorian: “I do! It’s Dark Entries by Bauhaus.”

Jamie: “Great. And remember, you’re listening to Jubilation Radio. We are here, and so are you."

Project Update: Second Pre-Launch Update for Midnight in Jubilation

An image of a male-presenting figure with hair swept back into a low ponytail and a thin goatee beard. They are smirking to themself as they look off to the side. To their right is a soundwave pattern.
Jamie: "Good evening, Night Stalkers and Sleep Talkers, you’re listening to Jubilation Radio with your host, Jamie Danno.

I want to start by apologising to our listeners for all those technical troubles we had during our last broadcast. I know a lot of folks left us voicemails afterwards complaining about the high-pitched feedback that sounded annoyingly like someone screaming. Well, our Audio Engineer Jodie has been hard at work squashing those pesky bugs, so I’m sure it won’t happen again.

We've got a lot to catch you up on tonight, so let’s dive right in to our community updates! Resident Dorian Blackwood is thrilled to report that all the digital documents associated with their game, Midnight in Jubilation, have been reviewed by their accessibility consultant. Which I’m told means that all the documents, including special content they’ve prepared for their campaign’s stretch goals, are now screen reader compatible! Great work Dorian.

Hm? What’s this? My wonderful producer is waving at me, which can only mean we’ve got something fun to share with you all."

Ana: "There’s a very eager caller waiting to talk to you."

Jamie: "Oh, I bet there is! Let’s say hello, shall we? Hi there, caller, you’re live on Jubilation Radio."

Zathi: "Heeeey Zath-Heads, it’s Zathi—your fave Jubilation resident. Coming to you live on Jubilation Radio!"

Jamie: "Oh. Zathi."

Zathi: "Heeey Jamie, so great to talk to you again! You know I tried calling last night like a couple of times, but then there were the tech issues and stuff. And then you never even played my voicemails after the break!"

Jamie: "Haha, yeah. There were so many of them, how could I possibly choose just one?"

Zathi: "Awwww! You flatterer! Anyway, I wanted to say Ana did a great job of letting folks know all about The Cursed Flames by Revel Tales—"

Jamie: "Ow." [-1 Cope]

Zathi: "Hm?"

Jamie: "Wow! What a great project! Listeners should definitely check it out."

Zathi: "Oh, totally for sure! But I also wanted to let all my Zath-Heads know that the fun doesn’t stop there. Jubilation is a hot-spot for creative types like myself. We’ve got Dorian, we’ve got Revel Tales, and—AND we’ve got Natasja van Gestel’s upcoming campaign too!"

Jamie: "Oh god. I mean, oh my goodness! Tell us all about it, Zathi."

Zathi: "Thanks! I will!"

A banner featuring an image of a figure curled up inside a gently glowing pool, surrounded on all sides by spirits draped in flowing robes. The text reads: "Portent. Overcome your curse of misfortune in this Shinto-inspired solo journaling RPG. Follow today."
"Portent is a solo journaling RPG in which you use a tarot deck to play your story. Meet all sorts of creatures and face all sorts of challenges in the world of Kaminari, where every stone and every river might uncover something divine. In this Shinto-inspired game that mixes cozy and creepy, you were born with a curse of misfortune.

But as fate would have it, you are also one of the few people able to see and hear the deities living all around you! As you help these kami accomplish tasks as their vessel, you gain their aid and protection while gradually uncovering the truth behind your curse. Portent launches as part of Pocketopia 2026, offering the game and extras like an accompanying tarot deck and a concept art book! Follow Portent today on Backerkit and get a free art print with your pledge!

Also, while Natasja has plans to work with a cultural consultant as part of the game development process, enquiries from consultants are welcome."

Jamie: "So...so cool! I could practically see it all right in front of me, even though this is radio." [3 Sociability Effort Points spent to maintain composure on air. Total Success, no Complications]

Zathi: "Right? When I think about how amazing we creatives are, I get all choked up too! I really like the name of Natasja’s game, you know? It sounds so…significant!"

Jamie: "Haha, yeah. Like it’s foreshadowing something."

Zathi: "Huh?"

Jamie: "It’s like it’s a sign. A portent."

Zathi: "Oh! It’s just Portent, no 'a' in front."

Jamie: "Well thanks for calling us, Zathi, but it looks like we’ve got a few other callers on the line so I’m afraid we’re going to have to start wrapping this up—"

Zathi: "Oooh! Can I do a song reccie? I’ve got the perfect song for my outro!"

Jamie: "My oh-so-wonderful producer is giving me the thumbs up, so I couldn’t say no even if I really, really wanted to."

Zathi: "Sweeet! That’s all for me tonight Zath-Heads, but I totally recommend you give Human Fly by The Cramps a listen, and don’t forget to like and subscribe! Oh! Oh! No wait, what’s that thing you always say, Jamie? Don’t tell me! You’ve been listening to Jubilation Radio; we are here and so are you!"

Project Update: We reached 375 followers!

We went to sleep and didn't even have time to release the previous, 350 people goal reward!

Guess we'll release both at the same time! Thank you so much for getting in with us, we are very excited about this project and we put a lot of love in it to make it cool!

We received the first sketch for the city map (which will be a pre-order item for physical pledge as a 14x10 print). Some parts of it are subject to change as we move towards a more final version! Art by Saga Mackenzie.

We also received the first sketches for the iconic Angel Heart! She is a calm and nice person, and her Magical Girl costume shows her love of ballet (Swan Lake specifically). Her name is Belle Mari Trinidad, and she's a transfer student from the Philippines! She is very passionate about dancing, but she is too shy to perform in public - even though she is really talented. When in her Sentinel form, she becomes a confident leader that protects her friends and makes sure they take care of themselves. Art by Heidi Paña.

We have 6 items sketches (on 16)! They are hand drawn and will be colored later! These will be used for the gacha machine (and the digital cards tied to the gacha). Art by Maïthé Roussel.

Next stop: 400! If we reach it before launch, we will speak a bit more about the 4 Hearts that are not in the demo! We're at a point where we are quite happy about them, so they will 100% be ready for launch and added to the development files sent to backers.

If we somehow reach 450, we will add a digital Last Hope artbook to all pledges that includes the game!

It's growing fast, so we'll probably be in touch soon!
Once we reach 400 followers, we will reveal more on the four upcoming Hearts (Tender, Envious, Tainted, and Wild)!
Goal: 400 reached! — We did it! This project reached this goal!

Project Update: Introducing: Children of the Mountain God, a location module for 5E and Pathfinder

There's news about a project that just ended and another that is soon to come, so this is really a dual-purpose update.

First: The Book of Plagues is making its way through layout and we expect to have it ready for press in early May. To that end, I'm going to close the pledge manager this Wednesday. So there's only a couple of days left if you want to get some add-on items from our back catalogue at a discount, or if you know anyone who hasn't reserved a copy of The Book of Plagues at a discount!

Second: Pocketopia 2026 begins in 10 days, and we're pleased to announce that we will be a part of it! We're looking for support for our next project: Children of the Mountain God, the 15th entry in our Places by the Way (for D&D 5E) and Found by the Way (for Pathfinder 1E and 2E). You can find the preview page here. We could always use more pre-launch followers! It does not commit you to backing it, and makes our makes our projects easier to find in the eyes of the search algorithm, and it just makes us look better in general.

Thanks again for your support!
