Joseph Schmalke is a comics creator, writer, and illustrator residing in Westbrook, Maine. Joe is the artist and writer on several comic book titles including SEVEN YEARS IN DARKNESS, WE DON’T KILL SPIDERS, ONE LAST TRICK, THE INFERNAL PACT, CHERRY BLACKBIRD, THE ELECTRIC BLACK (co-creator/writer and artist), and MURDER HOBO (created and written by). Ian Daffern is a filmmaker whose work examines the ways in which art can inspire connection and communication in society at large. Ian directed 2023’s A Bullet Pulling Thread, which tells the story of a quilter using her art to seek justice after her mentally ill brother is killed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Bullet won best documentary at the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival; screened at the VIFF and Hot Docs Cinema; and was presented by the Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg. Ian is also a parent who lives in Toronto with his two children.

Hi! I'm Vanessa Perry, a dark fiction author. I write fantasy and horror, and it's safe to assume I will eventually dabble in sci-fi. I’m a later-in-life undergrad student majoring in English and plan to pursue my Master's in Creative Writing & Literature after. I am obsessed with studying literary theory and proving that the modern English student loves genre fiction and that it's worthy of academic study! I love folklore (especially folk religion) and, while I am reluctant to call myself such, I am indeed a folklorist by definition. More than all the things, I absolutely love books. I always have a book I’m reading nearby! My debut fantasy novel, "In Roaring She Shall Rise" will release in Fall 2025. 

Gretchen(also known by the shorter moniker of Gren) resides in Indiana with their cat, Towan. They can often be found scribbling away in their studio, surrounded by cat toys and empty bottles of Snapple. Some of their other hobbies include writing, reading, and as of right now, fountain pens. Gren explores many themes in their work. At the same time that Gren paints silly little creatures like opossums and raccoons, they also explore what it means to be human, what it means to have a body that constantly betrays you (see the Body Betrayal Collection), and how being marginalized can irrevocably influence someone as a person. Gren enjoys working with metaphors and fantasy, combining what isn’t with what is, what might be with what already has been. 

Hello everyone! I'm Skylier and welcome to my corner of crowd funding. I've been working with a team of artists to bring to life an idea for comic book that I have called "Shark with a Shotgun". Up until now, I've been financing the artwork based on the script I wrote and am now hoping to finish out the required funds and advertise the, hopefully, soon first issue. I've been a creator in the Computer Games industry for 18 years, and have shipped dozens of games and hundreds of updates.  Now I'm returning to my first gaming love, Table Top War Gaming.  Table Top War Gaming taught me the basics of game design, started my career and made me life long friendships. Allan Dotson has been drawing monsters his whole life. An avid fan of all kinds of comics, science fiction, fantasy, and role-playing games, Allan often wondered about the secret lives of monsters. What would an evil monster's childhood be like? What would life be like for monsters in the dungeon when the adventurers are not around? Where do evil wizards get all those captive monsters to guard their towers and dungeons? Allan started by imagining train delivering baby monsters to a wizards' market, but once Eddy and his friends got loose, they started to take on lives of their own, and Critters was born. Allan Dotson was born in Regina. He has traveled the world as a documentary assistant director, and worked as a video game tester. He earned his BA in Art and English from the University of Lethbridge, and an Arts Education degree from the University of Regina. He was a founding member of Regina's Valuable Comics collective (2006-2014), and as a game designer has self-published 10 role-playing games. He has created board games, festival wide games, video game art, animation, murals, giant puppets, and a sitcom pilot, but his first love is comics. Allan's artwork is held in the permanent collections of the City of Regina, Saskatchewan Legislative Building, SK Arts, and Regina Public School Board.  In his secret identity, Allan teaches art and science for an alternative elementary school.
