I've been playing tabletop roleplaying games since I first discovered they existed at theater camp in 6th grade, and making digital games almost as long. I'm the owner of Definite Article, host of the livestream Critical Affection on Agents of Geekdom, and chaotic neutral who sometimes does art and design. Hey there! I'm Louie! I'm a 30 something dude that loves board games and yarn living in California with my girlfriend and kitty. I'm also a professional crocheter that's been designing amigurumi patterns and creating creatures out of yarn for over 17 years! Using my creativity and the art of crochet, I create one of a kind critters that are designed to inspire and have utility.  Naturally my love for crochet and board games turned out to be a perfect match, and now I've designed a number of games designed to be made from home! I call them Craft-able Games! They don't necessarily need to be made from crochet, although of course I will teach you if you're curious, but crafting your pieces from scratch brings a certain level of fun to a game that I find really unique. Whether they're made from clay, Lego, or even just colored in cardboard cut outs, I encourage creating your own pieces and design my games around that idea! I hope you enjoy my work! I started my career in graphic design, then moved to broader marketing roles. I founded Allegory in May of 2012 when the company my wife and I worked for closed. Since then we've successfully launched and fulfilled over 20 crowdfunding projects and built a business that enriches our lives, the lives of our employees, and hopefully our customers' lives too! It's been an amazing journey I wouldn't trade for the world.  My dad is a retired barber, he's the only person who has ever cut my hair, and he taught me how to build.
