Trapped In Schrodinger's Moon is a new time-bending paradox one-shot module for Mothership RPG, with art from Luke Oram, design and layout from Lone Archivist and editing by Chris Airiau.
Accompanying the module release is the World of Tomorrow calendar 2027, an A4 wall calendar available in print only.
The 2027 World of the Future Wall Calendar features:
🚫 A vision of the future as seen through the eyes of one of the world's leading tech companies. Some might say it's not looking good!
🅰️ A high quality, 4A-sized printed wall calendar, with a visual aesthetic inspired by the futurist literature of the 70s and 80s such as The Usborne Book of the Future.
ℹ️ 12 bespoke pages of art from human artist Luke Oram inspired by artists like Chris Foss and Mœbius.
📅 Print only exclusivity: to prevent other AI companies stealing Rainforest AI's work without consent (bad! When others do it), this item will be physical print only.
The World of the Future wall calendar is strictly limited run for this project only, and there will be no pre-order store after the campaign!
All art and mock ups are work in progress and subject to change. Calendar materials—such as staple bound or ring bound—are yet to be confirmed.
The action in Trapped on Schrödinger's Moon is located on KSM32, a moon surrounded by a quantum gas cloud.
An area of KSM32 exists in both the in-game present day 24th Century, and inside the Schrödinger Basin, on the moon that orbits planetEarth, in the 21st Century. Simultaneously.
Yes, it's that moon.
The moon serves as a portal across time and space, and as the year 2027 approaches a specific time paradox that must be completed in order for history to play out 'correctly'. Whether that happens or not is in the hands of your players!
The module contains:
A compact one-or-two shot scenario featuring a time paradox dealt with in a manageable way.
10 rooms over two linked locations: a secret mining base and observation area from the 24th century that's connected to a NASA moon base in the year 2027.
A 300 year old, Apollo-era astronaut Apollo who's 'trapped between time', haunts the dreams and visions of the crew, and worse...
RF Terraforming Inc., the latest megacorp that your unfortunate crew have to work for... previously known—in the distant past—as Rainforest AI.
All art and mock ups are work in progress and subject to change.

We are past the event horizon, and the era of artificial intelligence is upon us! This isn't just a step change — it's a leap forward, a cultural shift, and a whole new way of thinking.
That's why we’ve created The World of Tomorrow, a 2027 wall calendar. Developed by our most up-to-date Large Language Models, we give you our AI’s ‘warts and all’ vision of the future. Be warned: it’s a bit of a wild ride! But also inevitable. As I said during our recent AGM: “Some of us are born great. The rest will have greatness thrust upon you.”
The Rainforest AI World of Tomorrow calendar 2027: perfect for counting down the days until our AI takes over the world—in all the right ways, of course!
All art and mock ups are work in progress and subject to change. Calendar materials—such as staple bound or ring bound—are yet to be confirmed.
The calendar features 12 stunning, human made (ironic!) artworks by Luke Oram, in the style of classic 70s and 80s sci-fi art of Chris Foss and Mœbius.
Month after month, marvel at the downfall of humanity as we willingly become subservient to technology!
To keep our delivery schedule of November 2026 on track we are keeping our stretch goals to a minimum, in order to keep the project as simple as possible to produce.
Physical extras will include up to 6 Giclèe art prints A6 cards of featured artworks from the World of Tomorrow calendar, chosen by backer poll through the campaign.
Andrew C. Manson - Writing Trapped on Schrödinger's Moon continues a long standing tradition of 6 syllable Mothership zine titles, following Drink From The Hippocrene, as of August almost completed as part of Mothership Month '25, and The Dose Makes The Poison from Mothership Month '24. He loves the corporate horror of modern dystopian sci fi, but is less keen on living it in real life.
Luke Oram - Art Luke Oram is an artist and illustrator who creates imaginative images for a variety of projects. He has created work for, and been published in, various books and magazines, as well as making concept art and assets for video-games, board-games and collectible card games, along with branding and print advertisements. As Partial Object he writes and illustrates short TTRPG adventures. His work has been featured on over 100 album covers in genres as diverse as Death Metal, Progressive Rock and Synthwave.
Chris Airiau - Editor Chris has published and written for over 20 Mothership RPG publications, and worked on more than 10 other Panic Engine projects, such as Cloud Empress, Milk Bar, and his own 5 Million Worlds RPG. He also hosts The 5MW Ansible Uplink, a sci-fi module review podcast. Editing credits include: Flatline on the Blocks, Johnson Squared, All on Red, Breathe Easy.
Lone Archivist - Layout, Graphic Design Lone Archivist is a game and graphic designer based out of Southern California. His work includes writing and design for a handful of third-party Mothership modules including Primeval, What We Give To Alien Gods, In Other Waters: Tidebreak, and Hull Breach. When not working on games or design he can be found crate-digging for a new jazz record or adding yet another book to the TBR list.
Our timeline for Trapped on Schrödinger's moon is crazy tight! Because we are shipping with the 2027 calendar, it makes obvious sense to have everything shipping in November, for delivery before Christmas.
To this end, the module is written and play-tested. Some feedback amends are in process at the moment and then it we will go immediately into editing. Our aim is to get this into layout in September and printed in October.
The World of Tomorrow Calendar is a similar situation, a draft is written and, most importantly, all 12 artworks have already been completed, so we are ready to go into layout in September.
So this breaks down as:
August: Funding
September: Editing / Layout
October: Printing
November: Distribution.
It's super ambitious, but we think this is achievable!
PLEASE NOTE:SHIPPING WILL BE CHARGED SEPARATELY at a later date through the Pledge Manager. This is to avoid any pricing issues that may arise due to the sometimes volatile nature of sending post overseas.

*A NOTE FOR EU BUYERS: Recent new EU import duties and laws have made shipping from the UK into the EU pretty confusing/opaque. We think we've found a workable solution, but this might be subject to change once things become clearer!
Unfortunately at this time we will not be shipping to the following countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bhutan, Brazil, Brunei, Central African Republic, Chad, Cuba, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Iran, Israel, Laos, Liberia, Libya, Mayotte, Miquelon, Mongolia, Niue, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Reunion (Bourbon), Russia, Saint Pierre, Samoa, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen.
We will be packing and picking all the zines for this project in-house, to retain quality control and keep shipping costs to a minimum.
Trapped on Schrödinger's Moon has been created for the horror TTRPG Mothership. With this in mind, content featuring violence, mental trauma and claustrophobia may feature.
