IT'S TIME! We have started sending surveys! The subject line will say: Response Needed — Get your reward for Paranormal Romance Royalty
There's a few things you need to know about the surveys:
Your Name in the Acknowledgments of the Books
If you want your name in the book, you must fill out your survey by Friday, October 16th. Any surveys filled out after that date will not have the backer's name in the books. We need to get the files to our formatter and then to our printer, so this deadline is not flexible. If you used Pay-Over-Time, you will not get a survey until your final payment has been completed. If you used Pay-Over-Time and still want your name in the back of the books, please complete this form. Please note this form should only be used by Pay-Over-Time folks. If you get a survey, you'll need to provide your name there.
Shipping Will Not Be Charged Yet
We will be charging shipping closer to fulfillment in order to get the most accurate shipping prices available. We'll give you plenty of warning ahead of time.
Address Changes
You will be able to update your address in the survey up until we lock the addresses to start shipping. If you know that you'll be moving, don't wait to complete your survey or you won't get your name in the back of the books and your ebooks won't be delivered yet. We'll give you plenty of warning before we lock addresses.
Pay-Over-Time
If you opted to pay over time, the payments will automatically be processed by Backerkit once a month. We don’t have any part of that process, visibility into it, or any ability to modify it. Here’s a help article that answers most questions it.
Shipping
We're so excited to get these books into production in a few weeks! We're still on track to begin shipping to you in June of 2027. We'll communicate any changes to that timeline if they pop up!
Want to check out a project we're excited about?
Elle Mae just launched a campaign we're losing our minds over!
Sapphic, throuple thrown together with one mission: kill the princess. But what if the one sent to kill her accidentally falls for her? What if the witch can't help the pull she has to the two? What if their love has the power to change fate? Check it out now!
Blood Royale sexy sapphic throttle
Thanks again for being part of this celebration of these books we love so much!
THANK YOU so much for helping us to bring this project to life!
Here’s everything you need to know now that the campaign has ended:
Failed Payments
If your payment didn’t process for some reason, you’ll have two weeks to correct it in Backerkit. It should automatically run it again if you update it. Here’s a help article that answers most questions, but if you need help with something specific, please email us: [email protected]

Surveys
In about two weeks, we'll send a survey where you'll give us the name you want in the Acknowledgments and your shipping address. We'll send another update to let you know when they've gone out, so you can look for it. It's extremely important that you fill this out because we won't be able to send your items when the time comes without an address.
Late Pledges
If you’re getting this update because you were a project follower and missed out on backing, there will be a limited number of items available in the late pledge store for a higher cost than the campaign. This will only be for a limited time.

Hi Guys! It's the final days of the campaign, so we wanted to make sure we revealed the complete set of overlays that you chose the scenes for!
Between the fires in Spokane, some health stuff, and the flu bulldozing one of our households, we've been a little quieter during this campaign than we normally would be, but have been so thrilled with all the excitement and support! Maybe we can slide some of the trivia and fun stuff we'd come up with into some of the monthly updates we'll send while you're waiting for us to ship!
Want to see the gorgeous final overlays with art by @skaiwitch???
It's the final days of our campaign, which means it's also the last days of the Bonkers Romance Book Fair! Have you had a chance to check out the other fantastic projects yet??
If you back 3 or more projects, Bonkers Romance will give you a free Bonkers Romance Book Fair sticker--and there are some really easy ways to do that, with ebook options for as low as $5 that will allow you to discover new authors. The creative merch is the coolest!! There's custom tea, the cutest raven plushie, stickers, stamps, art, pins, overlays, and more! If nothing else, go check out the creative ideas everyone has come up with!
If you're already a backer of this campaign, you only need 2 more to get the FREE sticker and show your pride for supporting artists and authors! May we suggest Kenya Goree-Bell's campaign, which you can back for just $10 to get the ebook? Or Karmen Lee's campaign, which you could back for just $15 to get all three ebooks in the series?
Can't wait to get all the gorgeous goodies from this campaign into your hands! If you have any questions, email is the best way to reach us: [email protected]
You blew our minds with the launch of this campaign! Thank you for showing up to celebrate the books by these authors who mean the world to us!
We'll be doing some paranormal romance trivia next week, so we hope you're excited for that too! If you have any questions, please feel free to email us: [email protected]
Did you know that there are currently 3 different ways for you to get FREE rewards as part of this campaign???
Backers who have supported a Bonkers Romance campaign in the past will automatically receive a FREE pin with the Bonkers Romance Book Fair 2026 design. If you aren't a past backer but love this cute little pin, you can add it to your pledge now for $15.
We're also currently doing a cross-collab reward with Aethon: Vault for their Leveling Up campaign...but that one ends next week, so make sure you don't miss it if you want to back both to get your FREE sticker sheet!
And last but certainly not least, have you checked out the rest of the Bonkers Romance Book Fair???
As the market gets flooded with AI slop, it's going to be harder and harder for new-to-you authors to break out and for readers to discover fantastic new talent. This book fair allows us to highlight authors who are doing the work and deserve to shine. There is no AI allowed in any of these campaigns.
With the exception of the standard Backerkit and payment processing fees, all of the funds from these projects go directly to the authors who are running them, so it's authors creating and selling directly to you. It's an act of bravery for authors to put themselves out there like this, and we're so proud of them for taking the leap!

We're so excited you've chosen to be part of this adventure with us, and we can't wait to bring you some fun surprises along the way!
Paranormal Romance Royalty is almost here! Before it launches, we wanted to give you a look at the collection and the options you'll have so you feel ready to back! (Apologies if you already got this email--a number of people reached out to say they didn't get it, so we're resending again as an update so the information is findable on the prelaunch page!)
At Bonkers Romance, we set out to celebrate bold, fearless storytelling—the kind of big swings that push a genre forward. With this project, we’re going back to where it all began…and opening the door for a whole new readership to step inside.
The fingerprints from these five authors and these five books can be found on an entire generation of writers. These are your favorite author’s favorite authors!
Whether you’ve loved these stories for years or are discovering them for the very first time, you can’t miss this celebration of bold storytelling.
Each luxurious foil-stamped linen hardcover will feature sprayed edges, illustrated endpapers, and ribbon bookmarks. The complete set will also come housed in a gorgeous coordinating slipcase.
New to these worlds? You can start here!
In fact, we'd like to crawl inside your brain and experience them again for the first time.
Although all five books are part of larger worlds, each one features its own central romance and deeply satisfying happily-ever-after. You'll have no trouble starting the series with any of these books...but we dare you to try to stop there!
New to Crowdfunding?
Don't stress! It functions just like a pre-order for a book box! You choose what you want while the campaign is running, but no one will be charged until the campaign ends on September 5th. You're free to change your selections around as much as you like until that date when you get charged. We think there's a solid chance we'll ship everything early, but to be safe (and impress you later), we're estimating that we'll ship in June. We've got a proven track record of fulfilling projects on time with happy backers.
Choose your Tier:
When the project opens, you’ll start by choosing one of three tiers. We've kept it incredibly simple:
Art Cards—$10
This is the tier to pick if you just want the set of 5 art prints or if you want access to the rest of the add-ons á la carte.
Signed Hardcover Set—$250
Just the books, then you'll have the option of picking add-ons á la carte! When the signed sets sell out, the new tier will be clearly marked as digitally signed. There won't be a cost difference between signed and digitally signed.
Signed Hardcover One-Click Box—$339
The books and all of the merch from this campaign in a single tier. Treat yourself to the whole gorgeous box of goodies!
Once you've picked a tier, you'll have access to the Add-Ons page to customize your pledge!
There will be more detail about everything on the project page once we launch!
Pay-Over-Time
BackerKit's Pay Over Time option allows backers pledging $150 or more to split their payment into four monthly installments after our campaign ends.
At the end of our campaign (September 5th), you'll be charged the first 25% of your total pledge, then the other installments are charged monthly over four months. Your pledge is confirmed immediately, and you'll receive all rewards alongside other backers once fulfillment begins.
There's no interest or additional fees, just a more accessible way to back the projects you love!
We've got some serious fun planned with polls, trivia, and sneak peeks along the way. (If you haven't voted on which scene from The Darkest Night you want to see illustrated, you can do that now!) We can't wait for you to join us for this celebration of Paranormal Romance Royalty!
