Project Update: Stretch Goal 2: UNLOCKED -- and Introducing Stretch Goal 3!

At ONE DAY LEFT, your support has successfully unlocked our second stretch goal for this campaign! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen! We have one more surprise before we wind things down...

Stretch Goal 3 - $19,000 - Two New Decks - LOCKED
  1. “Death to Tyrants” Mod for The Blue Way
  • The power of kings and their lieutenants is not absolute. But it is enduring. You will not escape the Dusians. You know this, but you still have some power. You know of the abuses of Lord Bravn and his followers. The king will not recall him... but what if you were to remove him? Could you get someone better or at least more cautious?
  • In this mod, if all of the characters find a requirement of Lord Bravn to be so heinous that they decide the death of the community is better than living under him one moment longer, then they can rebel and remove his head. The king will send a replacement. That replacement will be represented by a new deck of cards directly related to similar historical scenarios that happened in Latin America. This mod provides a more agency for players even as their characters remain under Dusian control.
2. Enemy Nations Mod for The Blue Way
  • You are the Bàhki people. You have been at war with the Sàthani for 400 years. Your kingdom is surrounded by them. While your warriors have managed to keep them at bay, the tide seems to be turning. Recently, your closest allies abandoned you for the Sàthani. You are not sure you can survive without them.
  • Working with new downloadable characters and a new deck of cards, your aim in this mod is to survive the power and encroachment of your traditional enemies. What is the preservation of your kingdom worth?
  • This mod is based on the experiences of the Tlaxcalans, the Latin American indigenous community who sided with the Spanish. Its aim is to help people understand some of the deeper complexities of why some indigenous peoples chose this path and helped implement elements of colonialism.

These components are already part of The Blue Way Curriculum Guide, but if we meet this goal, we will be able to produce the two new decks in all of their glory! We have just about a day left -- let's go!!!
