Project Update: Message from out of the "Blue!"
Greetings, Backers!
We want to provide a quick update on where things are at with The Blue Way. (In short: lots of cool things are brewing!)
First of all: art! All of the art is done for The Blue Way and we are working on some art for The New Way! We can't wait to see it!
Second: expansion decks! We are hard at work playtesting and writing some of the expansion decks. The Castaway character worked thematically, but the mechanics turned it into a bit of a numbers games for a lot of players rather than adding depth to the story of The Blue Way. As a result of that playtesting, we have overhauled the Castaway rules and have him going through the paces some more. Initial trials show a significant improvement! Meanwhile, the first expansion deck of cards, which introduces the daily elements of exchange in a colonial society, is working as intended! Our final playtesting sessions with this set have been mainly centered on tweaking card wording. The final two decks are in the works and we are aiming to have them on tables in the next week or two!
While we had to slow down for a bit as we got ready for classes, we are back to our usual pace and excited to share more updates with you in the future! Feel free to drop comments and questions below! We're so excited to share these new pieces of The Blue Way with you!
