RPG Poll Day 21: You move into your final number, a song about a promising young Vermling imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. They lament for years of a wasted life in the face of heartless guards. [Influence check: Base [3] plus modifier [3], results in [6].] It's not quite soulful enough to incite violence, but by the end of it, everyone is yelling at the guards, telling them they need to take their garbage elsewhere. They throw up their hands, saying, "Eh, it wasn't that big of a deal anyway. Certainly not worth this trouble." And they walk off. It looks like you've found a new home in the Brown Door, and it's patrons love you.

RPG Poll Day 19: You decide your primary goal is to wow the crowd with your music, even if it doesn't last a long time. You once again begin to play, this time tapping into your dark past to fill the sounds with even more emotion. [Influence check: [3] base plus [3] from Dark Secret background plus [crit success] modifier! Yay!] Your music is so soulful, everyone in the theater is struck dumbfound. Dash and the seagull aren't even dancing, but it doesn't even matter. You are fully captivating the audience. But for how long? [Athletics check: [0] base plus [1] from Under the Mountains background plus [1] modifier = [2]...] It is over far too soon. You put so much into, you collapse once again in exhaustion after only a minute. There is a full minute of silence before the crowd erupts in applause, calling for an encore. [Passive focus check: [1] base plus [4] modifier = [5]] But is that... some guards in the audience? Are they here for you? You could play something less strenuous and have Dash carry the crowd.

RPG Poll Day 18: Playing your song early will ruin the element of chaos and unknown with Dash, but you decide it is the only way to save the meeting from disaster. You stand up and expand your swarm of bugs into an impressive cloud of sound and usher forth a wild, uncontrollable sound filled with both rhythm and chaos. The seagull and Dash begin to dance hypnotically, and the booker goes wide-eyed. Unfortunately, the song is very taxing, and your swarm collapses in exhaustion after a minute. There's a moment of silence, and then the booker says, "Fine, you've got a spot tonight, but I hope your performance goes longer than that." Later, that night, the moment arrives. You head onto the stage of the Brown Door with Dash and the seagull. This is the big moment. You've gotta make it good, but also you need to play as long as you can. All-in-all, it might just be better to play something more traditional, as you're not going to get the same spontaneous performance out of Dash anyway.

RPG Poll Day 17: [Influence check: flip a {2} and add that to base influence [3] - result: [5] (this modifier deck is just not cooperating, but at least there aren't any 2s left!)] With as much enthusiasm you can muster, you explain the marvels of the dancing seagull. The booker seems a bit put off by your voice, though, and the seagull punctuates the end of your speech by defecating on the chain it is sitting in. "This is ridiculous!" yells the booker, "And the last thing I need is bird crap all over my stage!" You'll need to do something to turn this situation around.

RPG Poll Day 16: You let Dash know that you've got some very intense music planned, but (because it's wild and unpredictable), you think the performance would be better if it were impromptu and extemporaneous. You assure them that the show will something special and unforgettable, it just can't be rehearsed. For some reason, they trust you, and so you head over to the Brown Door to book the gig. You head into the room with the booker, and she glances from you, a shabby-looking Harrower, to the Quatryl with an elaborate metal helmet, grinning widely, to the lone seagull, which also looks surprisingly happy. RPG Poll Day 14: Dash adjusts a few knobs on their helmet and then tries again. This time, the seagull just defecates, which may or may not have been prompted by anything. They try a few more times to varying results before finally getting the seagull to dance, which is quite a sight to behold. It's not until they're in the middle of a dance party, laughing together maniacally, that they notice you watching them, dancing slightly yourself. "Oh, hey, great to see you! What do you think of my new act? Gonna bring in huge crowds at the Brown Door, I think. You wanna help? I could use more birds."

RPG Poll Day 13: It take a little longer, but you make your way through the hole in the side of the building. Your guess is that there was a large fire at some point, and the damage was never repaired. You round the corner and barge in on Dash. They're wearing some sort of large, mechanical helmet with lots of flashing lights and spinning gears. Near them in a cage is a large seagull with an assortment of wires strapped to its head. Dash looks at the bird and commands, "Dance!" But the bird just screams at him in response. It doesn't look like the bird is having a good time.

RPG Poll Day 12: You show up on the doorstep of the quatryl Mindthief Haberdash (or Dash for short) in the Sinking Market. Their workshop is a half-collapsed wooden structure that is kept standing by arrays of metal piping and rotting braces. There's an alarming amount of live wiring close to the open water around the south side, and a very large hole in the north side of the building. RPG Poll Day 9: You get clearly agitated, bugs buzzing about, and yell out, "There is no time! The culprit is escaping while we dawdle!" [Flip a [1] for the influence check (these card flips have not been great - I'm sorry!), resulting in a total of [4]...] Things turn from bad to worse with this outburst as the guards' patience is wearing thin. They grab your uniform and let you know they'll have further questions for you back at the Ghost Fortress, which doesn't sound great.

RPG Poll Day 8: In a flash, your multitude of bugs spills out of your robe and into the guard's uniform. You've finished with the final touches right as a patrol rounds the corner toward you. [Harrower guards are pretty uncommon - in fact, you've never seen one before - so this is going to be tricky. Luckily, you're a con artist and can use the background to add half rounded up of your influence score to a check so long as you are lying, which you definitely are. You draw a [2], plus the [2] from the background and your [3] influence is [7] total. Not terrible, but not great!] The guards are taken aback when they see you and approach skeptically. You do your best to look and sound official as you explain the situation, but you don't have much time before the other guards come from behind. You might have to do something drastic to get out of this situation.

RPG Poll Day 7: You have enough time to casually walk away from the scene before the guards are fully awake and alert. Still, you are quite on your own in an alley when you begin to hear the whistles coming behind you. More guards will be summoned to the area shortly.
