To my eyes, that reads that if you have items for Wave 2, 3, 4, and or 5 in your cart when Wave 1 is processed, you will get charged shipping/vat/taxes for those waves at that time.

I think you’re right. Re-reading the summary emailed me after completing my survey it looks like you get charged for any outstanding balance plus shipping for whatever is in your cart as each wave closes, even if you have items in your cart that will not be shipped until a later wave.

Currently I have add-on items paid for during the campaign in my cart from waves 1, 2, and 3. My pledge level ships in wave 5. How do I remove everything (including my pledge level) from my cart except the wave 1 add-on items so I don't have to pay shipping and tax on everything all at once? I don't see anyway to control what's in your cart. There's a page for "Please confirm your previously purchased add-ons" but the only thing I can do there is click Next.

Thinking more about this: What happens if I pay for shipping for all waves as part of wave 1 checkout (maybe because they're going to force me to) and then for a later wave checkout (like in 2025) the shipping costs are higher? Will they come back then and ask me to pay more for shipping? Or by paying early (so Cephalofair has my money in their hands earlier to do whatever they want with in the meanwhile) do I get the benefit of locking in the shipping cost with Cephalofair absorbing any shipping cost increases?

I'd hate to pay for shipping for my wave 2-5 items in wave 1 checkout. Then pay for shipping increases in for my wave 2-5 items in wave 2 checkout. Then pay for shipping increases in for my wave 3-5 items in wave 3 checkout. Then pay for shipping increases in for my wave 4-5 items in wave 4 checkout. Then pay for shipping increases in for my wave 5 items in wave 5 checkout.
