Project Update: Miniatures Spotted at Convergence NZ & Adaptation Poll

Last weekend, the Waikato Role-Playing Guild held Convergence, a TTRPG focused event in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton. There were plenty of amazing games on offer including Time Without Tide! A special thanks to Olivia for running a group of players through the Quick Start adventure Lonely Phareflaw. Check out this photo from the event which features some prints from the Time Without Tide miniatures pack.
A convention table for Time Without Tide.

If you want to get involved running Time Without Tide at events like Convergence, then remember to check out the Cult of Chaos. It’s a great way to get involved with a community of fans, players, and GMs for Chaosium Games.

There was a wonderful response to our last Background poll. Given the enthusiasm, here’s another one! This time, we’re showing off some of the adaptations which Delvers can manifest when they spend too long in the fog.

The Unknown warps people in all kinds of strange ways. It gives you the chance to play strange and bizarre characters (who are right at home in a strange and bizarre world). If you had to pick between one of the three following adaptations, which would you select for your character?

At time of posting, we are closing in on 1.5k backers! We are so excited that so many of you have decided to Delve with us headfirst into an exciting new game that we are all so very proud of.

If you haven’t backed Time Without Tide yet, then now’s the perfect time. The World of Fog awaits!

Project Update: Time Without Tide in the Cult of Chaos

Have you joined the Cult of Chaos? Chaosium’s official volunteer Game Master program is a great way to get involved with players and fans of Chaosium games. It features content from Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, Pendragon, Age of Vikings, and now Time Without Tide too!

Lonely Phareflaw, the Time Without Tide: Quickstart adventure is officially entering the Cult of Chaos approved list. If you haven’t heard of the Cult of Chaos before, you can learn more here, and get involved with the Cult of Chaos community on the Chaosium Discord.

We’re already beginning to hear fantastic stories about people’s experience running the Quickstart for their friends. If you’ve given it a try, please remember to share your experience with us. Did your Delvers make it to the end? Did the fog get to them first? If you haven’t run the Quickstart yet but are planning too, then let us know what part of the game you’re most excited to try out!

If you'd like learn more about Lonely Phareflaw, it's in the Time Without Tide: Quickstart, which you can download right now, for free.

In other news, we’re just over 10k away from our next stretch goal. Remember to share the campaign with your friends to help us hit those milestones. For now, here's a a teaser image showing off one of Time Without Tide's adaptations. As a challenge, try and guess the name of this adaptation. Thanks everyone.

Project Update: New Poll, New Stretch Goal, New Backgrounds Revealed

Our last player background poll ended close to a dead heat. The Sentinel pulled ahead with 37% of the votes, but The Explorer (31%) and The Romantic (32%) were only just behind!

Fortunately, we’re now closing in on our $200,000 stretch goal. As we reveal more of the available player backgrounds, we invite you to share your thoughts in a brand new poll!

How high is your MIND + SKULDUGGERY score? Keen-eyed readers are sure to have seen some of our Delver background art splashed across this page. Can you spot a piece? If you can, try to guess that background’s name.

Our last unlocked stretch goal was to create the Roll 20 Quick Start module as a free version available to everybody. We’re excited to show you what we’ve got in store next!

Share the campaign with your friends to help spread the word and reach these goals together!

Project Update: Star Wars, Dark Souls, & Time Without Tide?

STAR WARS, DARK SOULS, & TIME WITHOUT TIDE?

Since we launched, your support has pushed us past several stretch goals. That means we can add more to Time Without Tide, including to what's already listed on the campaign page. Here’s some of the goodies.

MORE MINIATURES
All backers, regardless of tier, get an STL file of two characters from the Time Without Tide: Quickstart adventure, Lonely Phareflaw. Technically, it’s three characters if you count a toy bear. You can use these files in VTT play, or print them out at home if you have the tools to do so.

There’s more. Every backer who ordered the physical miniatures set gets these additional models added to their set at no extra cost. If you haven't ordered the physical miniatures set yet, don’t worry about missing out. This is a permanent upgrade to the physical miniatures set. We can’t wait to see some painted versions!

GEORGE MANN HAS JOINED THE PARTY
George Mann, a writer for Star Wars, Dark Souls, DC Comics, and more, is adding an adventure to Into the Fog. We don’t want to spoil too much but it’s a fantastic adventure that is quintessentially Time Without Tide, with an extra dose of the esoteric and mysterious. Like all the adventures in Into the Fog, it’s a great story that’s targeted at rookie delvers and packed with advice for new Keepers.

If you want to know more about the kind of adventures on offer in Time Without Tide, then there’s more good news for you.

SCRYGLASS STUDIOS ACTUAL PLAY
While David & James were working on Time Without Tide, they were also playing Call of Cthulhu on the Stream of Chaos with Alex, Art, and Jackson. The crew got together to play a special preview of one of the scenarios in Into the Fog, written by the talented Meredith Katz. Check out the video on the Scryglass Studios YouTube channel.
.

MORE TO COME
With every stretch goal we pass, we’ll add more to Time Without Tide. We’re forging ahead and there’s still so much more we want to include. So, please tell your friends, comment on Backerkit, and come join us on the Chaosium Discord. We are excited to share everything that's coming next!
