Project Update: Spooky Circuit Fully Fulfilled! What's Next?
If you wind up putting your pins, patches, and stickers on anything fun and want to share, please feel free to tag me on Bluesky or Mastodon - I'd love to see! :D
Last Chance to Complete Surveys/Fix Cards
Today a couple of lingering orders for folks who filled out their surveys late were also packed. 5 further of you still haven't responded to your surveys, and 4 of your cards continue to return as errored. You have one week left to resolve either issue! After June 6th I will be closing out the project and any partially paid balances will be considered a donation.
There are some digital goodies (desktop/phone wallpaper versions of the designs) I'm still working on preparing for y'all, expect to see a future Backers-only update in this space with those. But beyond that, Spooky Circuit is officially complete - thank you all again for loving these little guys!!
Where to Acquire More Robot Friends
If you missed out on any designs, I plan to list some of the extras for online sale by sometime in June and will holler about it here when that comes to pass. A handful will go in my Ko-fi shop, and an amount will also be added to the Soft Circuit Pre-Order Store/add-ons so that folks who backed that campaign can combine shipping.
Speaking of which --
The soft version of Python is extremely close to fully funded!! Enough other add-ons have been purchased that I lowered their pre-order requirement to 64 units, and we're currently sitting at 60 orders! I'm confident we can bridge that last little gap in funding. :D There have been a handful of other Soft Circuit developments, and I'll be writing up a formal update for that campaign tomorrow.
Other than Spooky and Soft Circuit - What's Next?
I have several upcoming campaigns in the works, three of which already have teaser pages live if you'd like to follow along:
🩸 Spectral Circuit, the next update to the Short Circuit 'verse, will be launching with Pintober 2026
🎮 Gears of GAIA, a love letter to another piece of media which straddles the intersection of tech and nature, will follow closely on its heels as part of Tributes
🐕 Proud Noodles will feature colorful sighthounds set to run in 2027 for Pin of Pride
Now that I've gotten through the gauntlet of Spooky Circuit fulfillment back-to-back with vending a convention in the UK for the first time, I look forward to hunkering down and experimenting further with the artwork direction for each!
Finally, a reminder that if you enjoy up-to-the-minute creative musings, I have a cozy little Discord server that receives a first peek at all my artistic endeavors. I'd love to have you there!
I hope May treated each of you well, and thank you once more for your amazing support! It really does mean the world that you empower me to inflict funky lil guys on the world. <3

Project Update: All orders packed, and shipping over halfway complete! Plus gratuitous pin photos.
I've been sharing quick, as-it-happens status updates over on my Discord - I heartily recommend joining up for the fastest information on all of my art, merch, and campaigns, if you enjoy that sort of shindig - but have had my nose rather smushed to the grindstone. That is to say, pin grading and carding went smoothly, shipping is nearing completion, and it's high time for a formal campaign update!
Grading and carding thousands of pins is always a massive undertaking, but we busted through it in record time. Both Abend (Cat Skull) and Decomm (Void Cat) had B-Grade rates sitting fractionally just above and below my maximum threshold of 30%, but I have plenty for fulfillment and everyone else stayed firmly in my desired range of the 20s and below.
An occasional downgrading flaw on Abend was black teeth/teeth missing fill, which is thematically fun to be honest, so that sort of thing certainly helps keep my spirits up as I'm squinting at these guys. Life willing, I'll aim to make the leftover Spooky Circuit pins, including B-Grades, available for purchase sometime in June - so if you missed out, stay tuned. :]
The bulk batches of rainbow anodized Void pins also yielded a stunning spectrum of plating variation, which is exactly what I'd hoped. Many of your new bot-board friends will be a little bit unique in one way or another, and I hope they delight you too!
The Spooky selective holographic stickers also arrived safe and sound during the carding process and they look fantastic!
For those seeking status numbers: out of 252 confirmed orders, ALL of them are packed and 133 have been fully processed and dropped off at my local postal point. The remaining packages are being double checked, stickered, sealed, and registered with InTime Delivery.
MAJOR shout out to Appeltjesgroen for being a MVF (Most Valuable Frog) and alerting me to the fact that InTime now offers Global Shipping via PostNL! For the first 20 orders or so I was using PostNL Zakelijk's website directly, which is so painfully buggy and slow - being able to resume using InTime for everyone, including US customers, has sped up the process considerably. Appel's art is adorable and you should check it out, especially if you're an amphibian enjoyer!!
To be super candid about the chaos of it all, I have no office and currently do have to royally fuck up our living room to handle these campaigns, as we have under 60 meters square living space split amongst three adults. HOWEVER we did just get approved for a mortgage on the house we're hoping to buy - so a real work space should be in my future, which will help immensely going forward!! My business income looking more impressive due to these campaigns absolutely contributed to that, so THANK YOU all again for enabling me to design and realize these lil guys for you! It's literally life changing and I appreciate it more than I can adequately describe. <3
A note on your shipments: the first handful I packed used up the shiny drawstring bags from the first campaign, and after that I switched to new, recycled paper baggies. This change is in an attempt to proceed with increased sustainability in mind!
All the foam, bubble wrap, paper, and other filler you may encounter padding your orders is reused material on its second and third life as well, and while a portion of the baggies per order have been sealed with stickers I created using my little thermal printer, the rest are fastened with portions of B-Grade sticker sheets and other fun odds and ends we had on hand. The paper bags do also feature a wax coating so, if peeled carefully, any stickers used to seal your pins should be salvageable to enjoy as well.
As always I'm delighted by the response to these lil robots and their corresponding PCB boards, and it's been really cool seeing the orders mixed between Spooky Circuit and OG Short Circuit offerings!
I did disclaim in the title that this update would include a healthy spread of gratuitous pin pics. I should wrap this up and get back to it! Currently we're on track to have all Spooky Circuit orders in the mail by this upcoming Tuesday the 12th, after which I'll be focused on preparing my table for Confuzzled. If you'll be attending, definitely pop by and say hello!
I've also been hard at work planning my next few campaigns. The current teasers up for each are bare bones, but more will be revealed as their corresponding projects approach~
If you're craving more Circuit pins, I will once again be haunting Pintober with Spectral Circuit. For robot fans who also enjoy a certain machine-heavy video game series, I've been invited to participate in TRIBUTES with Gears of GAIA. Then furthest out, but certainly not least, I plan to participate in Pin of Pride 2027 with Proud Noodles.
I'll certainly holler about them in the future, but for now please do "count yourself in" on any of the above that interest you. c;
Happy May all and thank you so much for being here!

Project Update: Bulk Pin Shipment Arriving SOON, Holo Stickers Almost Done, Backing Cards and Sticker Sheets Complete: ADDRESS LOCK APRIL 15th!
The time for Spooky Circuit fulfillment is nearly upon us!
My pin manufacturing rep confirmed shipment of our bulk order five days ago, and according to the tracking it should be arriving this upcoming Friday the 10th. This is a touch slower than my initial projection, but should be well worth it. In addition to the extra time required to handle rainbow anodized plating, my rep said that their team paid careful attention to the fine details to avoid the B grade rates we experienced with the original Short Circuit! I appreciate this immensely; I'd always rather receive a product slower at a high quality and more relaxed pace on the part of my supplier.
Once in hand, I will begin the pin grading and carding process in earnest. For any of you new to enamel pin collecting: this is where I carefully look over every pin to make sure they align with the standard quality expected, de-clutch them, stick them on their backing cards, re-clutch them, and organize them into rows of storage boxes to grab when packing your orders. :3 This is a bear of an undertaking, so while shipping will indeed begin in April, on the current timeline it's likely to extend into early May as well.
Almost all the remaining puzzle pieces have arrived. The backing cards are in, as are the new sticker sheets.
Very pleased with the foil overprint this go around. The circuit traces retained even sharper and more consistent detail than those I ordered for the original Short Circuit!
The selective holographic stickers are coming from another small business printer, in Poland this time around - closer to me, so they should arrive fairly quickly! - and are almost ready as well. That supplier sent me a video of the printing progress, so pardon the compressed screenshot presentation, but they're definitely looking great.
Lastly, I've ordered additional packing supplies from a local business, which should be reaching me on Tuesday. I'll be using up the remainder of my shiny drawstring bags first and thereafter packaging the pins in recycled paper baggies for increased sustainability. As with last time, the packing filler material I use will be on its second or third life - I hoard whatever I receive in this regard and reuse it. So if a shipment from me arrives with any form of bubble wrap or other plastic-based cushioning, rest assured that it was not acquired specifically for that purpose and please do push it forward for as long as it's still intact if you need to ship something yourself!
I'll be initiating address lockdown on Monday the 13th, which means you have until Wednesday the 15th to adjust your shipping details. If you miss this deadline for any reason and need assistance correcting this, feel free to reach out to me via [email protected] at any time.
Additionally, 6 of you have not answered your survey and 5 of you still have errored or failed card payments. If this is you, I'll be emailing you separately soon, but please get these squared away before the 15th as well. If you do not, I cannot fulfill your rewards.
Expect a few fun pictures once grading and carding is underway~

As always: for early peeks at any Short Circuit 'verse developments or future merch projects, consider joining the Discord community.
Looking for more robots and circuit board pins? The Soft Circuit Pre-Order Store is still live! A variety of bot-boards are available to adopt, as are the first of their corresponding robot plushies Byte and Python!
And finally check out Gears of GAIA, launching November 2026 as part of the TRIBUTES event. Follow the teaser page to sign up for machine pin updates! c;
Thank you for being here, and a very Happy Easter to all that celebrate it!

Project Update: Production Status: Spooky Pin Samples in Person, Last Bits and Bobs Ordered, Embroidered Patches Arrived!
I've been a bit quiet over here while wrapping up the initial campaign run of Soft Circuit, but I wanted to touch base and confirm that production is still humming along for Spooky Circuit!
(The following will be old news to anyone peeping the development channel on the Short Circuit Discord - feel free to join in there for more up-to-the-minute updates related to any of the Short Circuit campaigns. ♥ If you missed out on Soft Circuit, the pre-order store for that is open as well!)
Some lovely sample batches arrived at my door recently, and as with all the pins in this series they're definitely so cool in person!
While you've already seen supplier photos of these friends, I wanted to share a couple snaps I got myself capturing how these new bot boards look catching the light just so. 🖤🌈
Decomm:
The rainbow anodized plating takes longer for my manufacturer to process and costs a bit more per unit, but seeing how beautifully distributed the colors are across the circuit traces here reinforces just how worth it this approach was!
Defrag:
The effect is wild to see in person since from certain angles the details on these pins simply vanish into, well, a Void - but then you catch them in natural light and the metal work looks so vibrant. Definitely the perfect treatment for this Line. 🌌
Cmd:
The Pintober freebie, iCandy:
Lil trash bros with hands, Stack and Patch, reaching for each other in the physical realm at last:
Decibel and their all-hearing ears:
And finally the cross collab freebie, Abend:
The bulk run of Spooky pins is still in the works but expected to complete within the next month or so - after which comes grading, carding, and shipping them out to you!
I knew the production of the pins would take the longest out of all the items from this campaign but I wasn't certain about the turn-around on the embroidered patches, and so placed orders for both immediately after locking down item counts. The conclusion on patch timing seems to be: FAST 🔥
They're here and they look great!! I've been an intense patch enjoyer even longer than an enamel pin collector, and it's so dang satisfying to finally have patches of my own design. Thank you all again for making this a reality!
Next came ordering the stickers, a much faster item - the selective holographics and sticker sheets are being handled by two small, independent printers - which are also lined up to be ready in time with our bulk pin shipment. For those who enjoy seeing more of the technical, here's a peek at how the cut lines for the robot character art sheets are arranged:
Definitely excited about the addition of the geometric paw prints on the Void and Light unit sheets, it adds a little something extra. c:
Then most recently I ordered the final piece of the puzzle, the backing cards for all our new pins!
These are printed locally and have the shortest turn around time of all. As with the previous Unit Lines, the Void cards will feature holographic foil laminate on both the "Short Circuit" title and front circuit traces - and this time, I've gone for a holographic finish~
Rainbows all the way down, as it should be.
That's all for now! I'll holler in this space again as more items arrive, and of course prior to address lockdown and the start of shipping proper.
Happy March all! Thank you for your support, I'm so excited to get these spooky friends out to you come April. <3

Project Update: Spooky Summary Post! Orders lock in 48 hours, then cards charge 48 hours after that.
Survey lockdown has been initiated! You now have 48 hours to finish adjusting your orders - they will lock on the 18th. And then an ever so slight shift for the card timeline - after orders are locked, I'll set a 48 hour warning for that step as well, and the funds for add-ons and shipping should charge on the 20th.
Once again, a reminder to the handful of you who still need to finish them off: if you do not complete your survey on time, you might not be able to receive your first choice of rewards.
Onward to the ogling! As promised, a quick refresher summary of all the Spooky Goods in one place~
The shiny shiny fresh PINS! If you'd like a closer view at the newest samples and missed the last update, I also list them one-by-one over here.
All of the embroidered patches!! The remade glow-in-the-dark designs are from the manufacturer since the new samples haven't reached me in person, so they look a little scrunglier - as factory photos tend to - but they should give you a solid sense of the adjusted threads.
Finally, STICKERS! It's exciting to see all three new robot character art sticker sheets one after the other --
The robots, bot-boards, paw/foot prints, and text will all be useable, kiss-cut stickers. :D
And seen for the first time on Backerkit: the finished Decomm sheet!! <3
The new jumbo selective holographic sticker designs correspond to the pins, minus iCandy.
I'll be placing the bulk orders by Monday, so again please make sure to complete/adjust your surveys as needed. If you missed out on the campaign proper, last call for the Spooky Pre-Order Store.
Speaking of timelines sneaking up on us, gonna wrap up with one more shout-out from this space --
Soft Circuit is running as part of Pintopia 2026, which launches THIS UPCOMING THURSDAY the 22nd and runs until February 12th!! That's less than six days away! O: Peep the latest sample of the Byte plush above!!
If you haven't followed the Launch Party yet, please consider doing so! It increases the odds of a strong campaign start, which in turns allows us to bring even more new friends online and into your homes. I'll be parading out a couple new reveals over there tomorrow~ join us. <3
Thank you so much as ever, and if you have any questions or need any assistance with your Spooky Circuit orders in any way, don't hesitate to reach out. Happy weekend y'allemaal!
