Road Rage is a game where you play as a convoy of savage, supercharged animal-humanoids, each one burning with the Rage of the road, racing and rampaging across an endless, toxic wasteland.

In Road Rage, you and your friends will craft a collaborative story of insane action, impossible stunts, and ultraviolence, with a hint of the fantastically otherworldly.

This is Road Rage: a tabletop role-playing game where mutant misfits, wasteland warriors, and grease-streaked survivors team up to tear across the scorched earth in search of fuel, fame, and a shot at freedom.

You’ll raid rusted-out settlements, hijack rumbling convoys, and pull off harebrained stunts with nothing but grit, guts, and a half-tanked V8. Every madcap venture puts you one skid closer to your Final Destination: that last big score, bitter revenge, long-lost redemption, or just a quiet spot to die with a full tank and a clean conscience.

Powered by the Story Road Engine, a fast-paced d6/4 dice pool system, every session is a wild ride where your Rage (a high-octane fail-forward game mechanic) fuels everything from high-speed chases to brutal showdowns.

This is just a taste of the core action resolution powering Road Rage, the first game built on the Daggerwood Games Story Road Engine

"Does this enable players and Road Masters alike, to be as creative and free in their storytelling as their imagination can take them?". -- Yes! In fact, a story-first ruleset was our primary design goal.

How does Road Rage stack up as an immersive Tabletop Roleplaying Game system?
The game has been built with the very clear goal of supporting thematic and dramatic collaborative storytelling and through many playtest sessions, we've honed the ruleset to support that style of play.

CHARACTER CREATION

  • Build-A-Battler: Play as the Mutant Folk of your dreams and choose from a range of Archetypes with Bite

GEAR & RESOURCES

  • Gear That Breaks: Everything you carry is temporary… and probably dangerous.
  • Scavenger Economy: Grub, Scrap, and Fuel. The holy trinity of post-apocalyptic survival.
  • Chaotic Weaponry: Crossbows, cleavers, rusted pipe. No bullets, just pain.

WAR RIGS & CONVOY COMBAT

  • War Rig Customisation: Your convoy is your home, your weapon, and your ride-or-die.
  • Rig Mods: Flamethrowers, harpoons, smoke screens. Bolt on chaos, one slot at a time.
  • Rig Wars: Smash, board, sabotage. Convoy combat has never been meaner.

GAMEPLAY SUBSYSTEMS & MECHANICS

  • RAGE System: Fuel your fury, embrace failure, and turn it into firepower.
  • Harm Tracks: You don’t die clean out here, you die messy.
  • Twist Mechanics: Roll wrong and watch the whole scene explode sideways.

CAMPAIGN STRUCTURE & WORLD

  • Three-Zone Campaign Map: Cross a burning world in pursuit of a final, forbidden paradise.
  • Groundwork Phases: Rest, train, bond, repair, then hit the dust again.
  • The Final Destination: A hidden vault-city of water, tech, or salvation… if you survive the race to reach it.
  • Nothingmore Wasteland Guide: Dive into a full setting guide packed with regions, factions, warlords, beasties, and lore-riddled landmarks.

MONSTERS & ADVERSARIES

  • Wasteland Beasties: Tunneljaws, Blightcrawlers, and other horrors squirm just beneath the sand.
  • Off-Roader Tribes: Roaming raiders, sand-skiff pirates, and bone-painted cultists that hunt for fuel, loot, and flesh.
  • The Chamber of Commerce: Warlords in oil-soaked suits. Hoarding the last clean tech and crushing all who defy them.
  • Rival Convoys: You’re not the only ones on the road; other Battlers want that Final Destination just as bad.
