I feel bad that I have not reached out with a update before now, but do not mistake this "stillness" with inactivity! Underneath the surface of the water, much is going on! Progress has continued on getting this book into layout and looking for opportunities to give it that "camp" feel with the page décor, font choices and such. While I'm not quite at the "yeah, that's it" stage (where I want to show off the interior) I do want to talk about all the wonderful things you backers have done so far!
Obviously, those that got in within the first 48 hours will get that printable pamphlet prop, This will be nostalgic of the typical 80s park maps you could get at a ranger's station. It will have a info on the front panels and a backside property map with "points of interest" labelled. I feel this feature will play strongly for adventures where the Dare-Luckers are off exploring things on their own, perhaps following clues or a treasure hunt type scenario. For folks that didn't get in in the first 48, this will be offered as a VERY economical add-on.
We are at the level where all backers will get full-color prints of the pregens that come with the game. Physical backers will get physical ones and digital backers will get the PDFs of the color version.
We are not too far away from adding new art to this book. Currently we have over a dozen pieces by artists Christopher Tupa, Teresa Guido, and Morgan Hauth (see her will-o'-wisp piece below). As most of you long-time club members know, Santiago Iborra often works on pieces for these books. My plan is to bring him on as well, if we hit that $2500 funding for extra art. One of the things that has kept me busy lately is working on a quick commercial for this campaign and the Dare-Luck Club RPG in general. I'm planning to get that up this weekend and hoping that that might bring in some new backers to help push to this goal!
Are you like me, do you LOVE rpg maps? Well, boy, does this project have them! We have the glorious poster map of the camp and on the reverse side we have cabins, tents, a mess hall, the run-down Victorian-style cottage that sits on Swan Island (featured in "Wrath of the Wedding Witch") and the interior of an alien ship (featured in "UFO: Unidentified Friendly Organism")!
Also, don't forget, if you have backed "Visitors To Fairhaven - Zine Trilogy for WHPA" (a supplement for another great Indy RPG full of nostalgia and mystery), you will get an additional, free pamphlet product useable in both games!
