This is our first (of hopefully many more) Double Feature projects - two novellas playing on a shared or opposing themes. This one is all about vampires, old school badasses to postmodern reconstruction. Follow for Free Nosferatu themed stories.
A book! Hopefully. This is something that we have been wanting to do since we started Dead Fish Books. Retro inspired with a modern twist. This book is meant to be a revival of the old school pulp paperbacks in which they they packaged two books in one. And to promote this you got a book with a cover on both sides - with one upside down to let you know you need to rotate the book to make sure you can read the other story in the usual format. Let me use a book I picked up from a free book giveaway at Inconjunction.
Thank my couch for being a lovely assistant. But what about the actual content?
It's all vampires this time around! Why vampires? Well, that's because I have a lot of vampire stories. As expected for anyone who mispent this goth teenagehood in world mythology and literature. The two stories I selected "The Lord of the Land Beyond the Forest" and "Her Eyes," were both short stories that turned out to be underwritten novellas. "The Lord of the Land Beyond The Forest" is a love letter to my Vampire in Film class and the shadow that Dracula casts over all western vampire fiction: whether it's welcomed or not. So expect a sort of dreamy travel in the land of movies. "Her Eyes" is a sequel to Carmilla involving a vampire hunter with a melancholy past...and that's all I'm revealing for now. Either way, it's gothic horror vampire time here.

Okay, maybe I should be more specific.
Since we got so much prose I figured you could use a break with some poetry.
Five poems in five different styles about five different types of vampires all over the world. Along with a brief explanation of the vampire and the form chosen to match it.
At 500 we will be able to get covers that don't look like they were made by a crazy person with Canva. But covers made by an actual artist! That will actually look nice!
Anything beyond that helps increase our cover budget.
