There were two versions of the metal slipcase made so far.  The first one had some flaws that were unacceptable so we had it go back to the factory for another pass.  The second pass is much better but not yet perfect.  Here's a look at some of the early pictures from the process:

We are still working on the silver/chrome effect on the metal with the factory.  They understand what we are looking for on these metal boxes and we are hopeful the next round will be the final that can begin being produced.  

We're expecting updates from the factory on the status of the books printing and will update everyone as we get additional information.
