🧠 You Shaped the Adventure
This adventure began with your votes. We asked the Hive Mind to choose the ingredients, and the community shaped the encounter: a horror/mystery adventure inside a dead organism, an aberrant monster capable of deflecting energy, and a mysterious dimensional amulet.
From those choices, Ed Greenwood and Elderbrain developed these ideas into a fully fledged one-shot adventure, complete with unique encounters, a fully colored map, new monsters, treasure, and all the unsettling details needed to bring the nightmare to your table.
In Coils of the Worm Undying, the characters descend into an extraordinary mine only to discover that its tunnels lead to something that should have been left untouched.
Ed dreamed up two of the adventure’s central horrors:
The Graul — a grotesque aberrant predator whose reactive flesh adapts to incoming attacks, turning the characters’ own strengths against them.
The Worm Undying — an ancient, impossible intelligence whose dead flesh still dreams, infecting the mine — and the minds of those who venture too deep.

Those who selected Single-Wave Shipping will receive their legacy rewards together with their Spawns of the Mindrender rewards when the campaign fulfills in 2027.

🐛 Coils of the Worm Undying — Almost Ready!
The Hive Mind’s adventure with legendary Forgotten Realms creator Ed Greenwood has taken another major step toward release. Coils of the Worm Undying has now been playtested, refined, and fine-tuned and is currently on our editor’s desk!
The adventure sends characters into a mine overrun by aberrant horrors, where the influence of an ancient entity has been disturbed. Many of its core elements were shaped directly by our community polls—including its setting, creatures, and strange magic.
Once editing and final production are complete, Coils of the Worm Undying will be released as a Mindscape One-Shots adventure and will also be uploaded FREE to all Spawns of the Mindrender backers.
The Worm has manifested beneath the earth. Soon, you will get to meet it.

The madness does not end with Spawns of the Mindrender.
Designed as a companion to Spawns of the Mindrender, its rules can be easily added to your campaign. The system introduces Insanity Points, Madness Triggers, Stages of Madness, Flares, and Therapy, giving Game Masters tools to make a character’s descent into madness an evolving part of the story rather than a single die roll.
Descent into Madness includes new monsters across all creature types, a new subclass for every class, and a wealth of new player and GM options, including magic items, mind-altering substances, spells, and feats.
Whether you plan to use it alongside Spawns of the Mindrender or bring its madness rules into an entirely different campaign, Descent into Madness is built to make the unknown—and the characters’ reactions to it— part of the adventure.

Single-Wave Shipping Receive everything together — including your legacy rewards and Spawns rewards—in a single shipment when Spawns of the Mindrender fulfills in 2027.

If you backed Spawns of the Mindrender, you should soon receive (or may have already received) an email from BackerKit inviting you to complete your survey. This is an important step that helps us prepare production and fulfillment, so please take a few minutes to review your pledge and complete the survey.

Want to Change Your Pledge Level?
If you'd like to upgrade or change your pledge level, you can easily do so at the start of your survey.
On the first page of the survey, check under the Get Started! button and click the "or Switch your Pledge Level »" link. From there, you'll be able to select a different pledge level and continue through the survey with your updated rewards. Once you're happy with your selection, simply complete the rest of the survey as usual.

Shipping Addresses
You'll notice that BackerKit asks for your shipping address during the survey. We're collecting these addresses for administrative and production planning purposes, but this will not be your final shipping confirmation.
When your rewards are ready to ship, you'll receive an invitation to complete fulfillment through Elderbrain.com, where you will:
confirm or update your final shipping address,
choose your shipping method (where applicable),
and pay any shipping and handling fees (as well as taxes on shipping fees where applicable).
This ensures everyone has the opportunity to provide their most up-to-date address before packages begin their journey.
In case you missed the campaign, you can still pre-order most Spawns rewards on our pre-order page. Please note that these physical rewards are exclusively available for pre-order and won't be available on our shop in the future!
