Surveys: Thank you to everyone for your patience regarding the surveys! This was our first time using BackerKit for both the crowdfunding and the pledge management phases, and there was some learning curve. Some things had changed from the original campaign, and been adjusted, and how original pledges are handled is different from how add-ons are processed, which is different from how preorders are handled. You should now be able to enter in your text for the Personalized Coin stretch goal, or if you added it later, it should still prompt you for your text. We have also updated Individual Coin so you can now choose the plating Finish and the specific coin you want to choose. Three Coin Draw remains a random choice, but you can select the finish.
We think we have all the bugs sorted out, so double check your pledge surveys to ensure that you have all your questions answered (or that you can now see questions you were missing before), but if you have any recurring issues, please post in the comments so we can fix it up!
Personalizations: Some people have been asking how the personalizations will work for the stretch goal. When filling out your survey, you're asked for the text you want to have inscribed, up to about 150 characters. We'll do line breaks for whatever seems to make the most sense with the text provided to fit inside a bounding box that is roughly square, centered within the circle of the coins. If you want things to be a little more formatted (and know HTML code like <br>, <i>,<b>, etc), we can parse out what you're going for, or write BLANK if you don't want anything on it. You can always submit a BackerKit support question and we can log it for when we get to the personalizations.
2D Artwork is complete! The last of the Major Arcana reworks have been finalized and standardized across the set, so now everything has a unified look, cleaned up lines and nitty gritty details all hammered out. We have updated the images of the Major Arcana to the latest versions, but with that...all of the artwork is ready to go to 3D conversion phase! Which brings us to...
3D Conversion is underway! The 3D conversion is happening for the rest of the Suits as we take the 2D art and sculpt it into 3D relief work to be molded. This will take about another month to get dialed in, do some test molds to make sure the coins turn out as expected, and once this phase is complete, we will begin production molding of the coins.
Bag samples are in! The velvet bag samples have just arrived, and we're in love! They're royal blue on the outside with a velvety sheen, golden drawstring tassels, and a gold satin interior. Our first experimentations with the coins inside have them holding up very well, but the coins are heavy, so we're reinforcing the bag's interior stitching to make sure it's up to the task. It's also significantly larger than the coin set to allow the freedom to shuffle and rummage through the coins in the bag to find the one that attracts you,, and will also accommodate the reading cloth and the accessories inside it.
Now that the main course of the coins and the bags are done, we're going to be turning our gaze to finishing out the other accessories and the retail packaging. We should have pictures of those hopefully by the end of August, and probably a mini-update with the concept art before then.
