Project Update: Commercial Release Delayed (Damn it!)
Hi everyone. I'm pleased to tell you that all the physical copies have been shipped, and all backers should have them by now.
However, as I'm gearing for the commercial release (which is necessary to send the codes to the PDFs), I hit another snag. DrivethruRPG's print options are causing me grief, and due to bad previous experiences, I need to hit a simultaneous release with physicals and digitals. Effectively, the print proofs I got from DTRPG were heavily artifacted, mostly due to my own mistakes in the process of exporting the files, I presume.
DTRPG doesn't have a handy Preview tool like Lulu (which I used to make the copies you have right now), so I'm just going to run the PDFs through Lulu's systems as well.
What hurts me most is that the print proofing process is both costly and slow, meaning I need to wait another two weeks for the prints to arrive, and pay pretty hefty printing and postage for it. Not to mention each site taking 5-15 minutes to upload the files, which makes it really frustrating to do.
So, my deepest apologies on not being able to send the digital codes to the game yet! I'm going to do it once the prints have been proofed in a satisfactory manner and I'm ready for commercial release. I'm sure you're eager to get everything to your hands, but I ask you to have patience as I fumble around this printing process.
