Project Update: Getting ready for launch! Art preview, cross-collaboration and early-bird reward!

ART PREVIEW

With just a few days to go until HUNTERS launches, I wanted to share with everyone some art which I've been hard at work on:

THE SINK is what remains of the once bustling downtown center of The Dream. It now lies in ruins, covered in twisting ropes of cybernetic wires, creeping around every fallen building. The Sink is dark, foetid, and quiet. Behind every shadow lurks some hideous abomination.”
A Pound of Flesh by Tuesday Knight Games.

This piece will be a 2-page spread, which is a bit of an indulgence for a zine, but this brief description of it is so evocative that I wanted to do the setting of HUNTERS  justice.

CROSS COLLABORATION

I'm happy to announce that I will be cross-collaborating with the fantastic Terminal Directive by Burning Light Press. Terminal Directive is a time-looping murder mystery where the players race against the clock to solve a murder before it happens.

Together, we're teaming up to create a bonus pamphlet module...
RATCATCHERS.
WIP, not final art

RATCATCHERS acts as both a stand-alone prologue to HUNTERS and a harrowing side-quest for Terminal Directive, providing thrilling new game-able content which will enhance both modules, or act as a self-contained adventure.

Backers who back BOTH projects will receive RATCATCHER as a FREE reward!

EARLY-BIRD REWARD!

To thank all the backers who pledge at a physical tier within the first 48 hours, I'm giving away a free exclusive patch. This will be the only way to get this patch, so don't miss out!

Finally, I wanted to give all my followers a "peek behind the curtain" of the process behind making the art for HUNTERS:
From concept sketch and photo collage, to graphite perspective drawing, to inkling and finally digital shading being added last.

Deciding on the right architectural language for the ruined glory of The Sink and finding good reference-points was essential, and I knew I didn’t want to default to the cyberpunk go-tos of Hong Kong and Tokyo. Fortunately I happened to be spending the day in the Sydney CBD, where The Matrix was filmed, and it was just the feel that I wanted with its austere skyscrapers, indoor/outdoor retail arcades and odd liminal spaces.

Next challenge is designing the livery for the city’s old android security force and some riot control robots!

See you at launch!
