The samples have been printed… and printed… and reprinted. When I tell you the back and forth on this process has taught me so much!
First it was the digital file issues.
Then it was the print clarity. But we fixed it!
So what was the last issue? This dang edge. If you could see, nothing was showing up!
But we figured it out, and now we have had multiple successful prints.
The covers are also printed and look wonderful.
The last step is the slip case. Once that is printed, I’ve asked the printer to ship me the samples so I can look at them in person before they print them all. This will take a little longer, but after all the chaos, I refuse to have them print thousands of books and have them be wrong.
As soon as I have them (I’m told estimated 8 days) I will review and give the thumbs up.
Then printing begins!

Also update on the bookmark designs. You all requested a new design, and my designer did her thing! Here they are. They have been ordered and will be in my hands next week!
Digital Files and Surveys
As someone new to Backer kit, I was CONFUSED on how to get the surveys approved. Thanks to the wonderful Backerkit team, I've figured it out. We've sent out the first few as a test with a plan to send the remaining tomorrow. Once those are complete, I can send out the digital reward files to everyone who gets them.
The Shorts and the Complete digital bundle are ready to go.
My editor had some personal delays on Lena's book but I am supposed to get that back from her in a couple of days for my final review and then I will get that out to you all asap.
Overall, we have movement and I am so happy for that because I absolutely HATE delays.

Book Printing
After 7 degrees of hell bouncing between my designer (in Africa) and my printer (in China) we have finally entered the proofing stage. A few weeks later than I thought. But we have motion!
This is totally on me. I foolishly used the same estimated timeline as I always do, forgetting that this is FOUR books and a BOX! Lol way more complicated to make sure it all fits!
I will be sending both May and Kiff a gift card so they can buy themselves something sweet as an apology for how I’ve stressed them out these last few weeks!
As soon as the samples are ready, they will send me pics to confirm!

The digital file will be delivered to you allin a few days (no later than Tuesday)! I have a little tidying up to do with the formatting and then I will hit that pretty button.
Lena Needs a Break:
I am scheduled to get the book back from my editor on 10/16. I anticipate it will be in your hands one week later. (10/23).

Color me surprised when I realized I never posted my celebration message. I blame holidays and travels for the oversight.
But we did it! We hit our goal, and now we get to do the fun stuff.
I have received the first deposit, which means I get to pay for production to begin.
On Monday, all final files will be sent over to the printing team; we’re just tidying up some formatting things now. Once they have it, they will map out the full timeline, which I will then provide to you all.
As of now, we are on track for our estimated timeline and I am so excited because I cannot wait to get these pretty babies in my hands!

We have just 8 days to go and I feel like I blinked and time just flew on by.
What am I doing?
Getting all the files finalized and handed off to the printer(s)! They are on standby so as soon as I have funds in hand, I can pay for production!
Also... LENA NEEDS A BREAK will be headed to the editor in one week! So I've been reading through it and making sure she is all good and ready for her spa date. (That's what I like to call the editing process!)

Well, I planned this surprise reveal at $20,000! And we hit that number, unfortunately I was not quick enough posting this to properly celebrate because we’ve dropped a little (sob, pout, poo)! Hey, it comes with the territory, BUT we did it and now I get to share the goods!

Okay, I wanted a fancier name for it, but that’s the best I could come up with, but every backer who got the 4-book bundle will receive the display box as well!
