It's the middle of July, and we've got some small updates for y'all! First, if you haven't seen it in your downloads - those of you who backed Grim Merchants and ThereWolf Games' No Gods, No Mastersshould have your cross-collab mission cards available now! Michael and I had a ton of fun putting these together and will be using them in our own runs of the METAStatic tower for sure!
Second, your books and stickers and patches are packed and nearly ready to ship! We're just waiting on some last minute confirmations of numbers, but we roped in a bunch of friends n' family to make the magic happen and got everything bundled for safe transit in the meantime! Take a look:
My parrot Skittle was of course the most instrumental figure in this effort, checking everyone's work and ensuring we all stayed at peak efficiency. He was quite peeved to find that the yellow early bird patches both had nothing to do with birds, nor did they taste even a bit like corn (his favorite food). He'll get over it with time. We are still hoping to get everything en route to the warehouses by end of July. Once your stuff is sent, we'll check in to let you know! Updates from that point on may be much more sparse - Tuesday Knight Games is handling fulfillment, so any pertinent updates will likely come from them via the Prospero's Dream campaign page.
Thanks so much again for sticking with us! Over the last couple months, Michael and I have seen a ton of love flowing through the Mothership community for Grim Merchants. We couldn't have done it without y'all - literally!
Hello all! Josh here. Great news - a week-ish ago, we completed the last of our printing for Grim Merchants, and the many glorious boxes now sit in the spare room ready to be split by region and shipped to our fulfillment partners! We have your patches, your stickers, your pamphlets, and both regular and deluxe editions of the zine ready to rock. They all look excellent...
Feels crazy to see so much printed. These boxes are HEAVY! Now we just need to wait until Friday for the MM25 Pre-Order Store to close so shipping addresses can be locked down, and we can then get everything sent to Tuesday Knight Games for fulfillment. As of now, we are on-track to fulfill for the timeline given during the campaign, but we will be sure to keep you updated if any changes occur!
And, since digital fulfillment for ThereWolf Games' No Gods, No Masters is very near, we've got a preview of what to expect from your Cross-Collab Mission Cards for those of you who backed both ours and their campaigns!
These digital handouts will be printable as two-sided postcards and will be available in full-color and print-friendly formats. Each of Grim Merchants' five vendors have their own motives for going up against MetaStatic Inc., and different objectives and rewards alongside for anyone willing to take the job. Below are both sides of the card for TITAN Interstellar (with some redactions for spoilers!):
Each mission objective ties in with a floor of the METAStatic, Inc. tower, or with an NPC who works there, giving you incentive to delay your careening warpath to the top and take on optional challenges. With these cards and both modules in hand, you'll have many, many sessions' worth of anti-corporate carnage to chew on. We're excited to hear all of your stories!
Alright! That's all for now. I'll be checking back in once shipping to the warehouses begins, and from there along the way as your stuff gets closer to your doorstep. Thanks for sticking with us - talk soon!
Hello everybody! We picked up our test-print copies of both versions of Grim Merchants and the Androids Unleashed physicals yesterday, and they are looking SLEEK! Behold:
Look at that shine...! I can't stop looking at it!
Interiors are looking great with a silk-coated finish.
Androids Unleashed came out clean as hell too!
Once we go through the contents with fine-toothed comb (a third time, I'm not planning on another Providers misprint incident here), we'll be approving these for production and have the entire batch printed! The printers tell us we should comfortably be able to have it all printed by end of May/mid-June, just in time for shipping to TKG's fulfillment warehouses!
On the topic of the No Gods, No Masters Missions Cards - they are still underway and our plan is to distribute them to crossover backers right around when No Gods, No Masters releases digitally, but the TripTech3 Game Jam (and another project you may have heard about by email today) ate into my time this month - so you'll need to wait just a bit longer for a preview in layout! My apologies, I know these have been on the docket for a long time so they're high priority for me the next two weeks!
That's all for the time being! It was incredibly satisfying to get our hands on the Deluxe Edition especially. The UV foil looks truly incredible, and I am beyond excited to ship these off to y'all. Talk again very soon!
Print numbers are locked and we are getting underway with the printing process for Grim Merchants here in Edmonton! I just have a quick word for Deluxe Edition backers - it's last call for Backer Credit Names! You have until Friday, April 24 to get a custom name submitted via your survey!
As a refresher:
If you backed in October, the name attached to your Backerkit account is already credited in the book. If you're good with that name, you don't need to do anything!
Answering surveys overall isn't on a time crunch - I just need this one answer to get started printing! If you are unable to answer your survey yet for any reason, you can alternatively just email me at [email protected] with your Pledge ID, Backerkit name, and preferred credits name.
If you manually reached out to have your pledge from October upgraded to the Deluxe tier, please let me know by email as above! Your books are accounted for but I don't have direct access to whose pledges have been changed. I do want to make sure your name is included!
I'll be collecting names from the surveys on Friday, and then handing files over to our printers on Monday. Exciting stuff! Don't panic, though - if you have concerns I am on-station to assist where I can. Everybody else, you're off the hook! Have a great week!
Tomorrow is April 15, which means we will be closing pre-orders for Grim Merchants items on the MM25 Pre-Order Store! Some updates for you:
A number of Deluxe Edition backers have let me know you're wary to submit your pledges due to missing items from a number of MM25 projects. If you are still waiting on a fix for the items in your pledge, I encourage you to reach out to me directly at [email protected] with your name, pledge number, and preferred name for the Deluxe Backer credits! For the rest of y'all, I'll monitoring for your Deluxe names for another week until April 21st.
We are still closing pre-orders tomorrow, but all this means is we will be making Grim Merchants items invisible! It will not affect existing backers or customers, and if any GM items are missing from your pledge as above, they can still be added back after being hidden in this way. So no rush there!
Again, not an ideal situation; we wish we could leave orders open for longer, but at this point the sooner go time is, the better! Thanks for all of your support and understanding, the next time we are in touch we hope to have some print proofs for y'all (and perhaps a look at the No Gods No Masters mission postcards!) Take care!
