Press Release
A minor tease for what is coming in the show, and in the Cthulhu Casefile, and MAYBE a hint at a little bit of merch that might crop up before the end of the campaign:

So earlier on, I put up a banner announcing that there would be new add-ons available when we passed £300,000. But you all beat me to the punch, so now Carl Pugh...

End of week 1 and a half.
Well I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted. I dream about pledge tiers and add-ons, and I wake up panicking that I have forgotten to account for VAT on something, or that...
We are pretty much halfway through this campaign and, as noted, it has gone better than anyone could have reasonably expected.
A few people have asked what they can do to help, and the simple answer is introduce people to the show. I don't need you to sell the thing like you're in Glengarry Glen Ross, but if you know of people in your gaming community or book group etc who might like Lovecraft Investigations, encourage them to give it a listen - the first four seasons are free wherever they get their podcasts. Going forward, the more ears we have, the better.
There's not going to be anything crazy happening from here on. In the next week, we'll be releasing a new T-shirt directly relevant to the new series, and in the last week, there will be a SURPRISE T-shirt that I think a lot of people are going to be pleased with.
But no more books/documents/big ticket items, so your wallets/purses/secret crypto vaults can rest easy from here on in.
What I'm focusing on now is getting a jump on writing the new series and on getting a bit more De Kliek out into the world via the website, and on hanging with the Backer community, obviously - let's keep the party going!
I'm also toying with moving the hosting of The Secret History of the World to a new place, but you don't need to worry about that - I'll make sure that the redirect is as seamless as possible.
I also note, belatedly, that our Red Hook Investor tier sold out fast. If anyone wants to hit that level, let me know and I can make some more available.
A minor tease for what is coming in the show, and in the Cthulhu Casefile, and MAYBE a hint at a little bit of merch that might crop up before the end of the campaign:
So a few people were commenting on how the Devil's Reef imagery that we're being sent doesn't match the sign I saw when I visited the trailer park back in Season 1 of the show. And you're right, it is absolutely not the same image.
Al Treggoré bought the land that the trailer park sat on in 1981, nearly forty years before I showed up there. The sign I saw was old and weathered, but maybe it wasn't the original sign? And the image on that sign, I never saw it on a T-shirt or a keychain.
There could be a dozen explanations for this, but you guys put a bee in my bonnet and I couldn't let it go. So when the East Coast woke up, I made a call to the administrators and asked if they knew anything about the artwork discrepancy. The person I spoke to knew nothing about it but, twenty minutes ago, I got a call from another person in the office, and they sent this through to me. Apparently this is one of the letters they found in the office that they were sending over anyway, so it will probably show up in the souvenir pack. But it does at least go some way towards answering the question:
So earlier on, I put up a banner announcing that there would be new add-ons available when we passed £300,000. But you all beat me to the punch, so now Carl Pugh and I are scrambling to get some artwork ready. We know what the new thing is, and it's pretty awesome. We just can't actually show it to you yet. So watch this space...
