The Book Safe Presentation Box is being manufactured!
The Book Safe Presentation Box has officially begun its production process, after some not-insubstantial delays with overseas manufacturers. We’ve already gotten word that a physical proof copy is in transit to us right now!
It’ll take a few weeks for all the boxes to be manufactured (estimated completion is end of November)—but by our next update, we should have photos to share! Overseas shipping takes a few weeks as well, so fulfillment for the Presentation Box set is likely to begin in earnest in very early 2027.
If you haven’t redeemed your Dice Set yet, you can always wait to claim it alongside the Presentation Box. This duo will be quite the sight to behold!

We have even more exciting TMA news to share—but of the digital variety! The Magnus Archives XP Deck has been added to the Datasphere Deck Tool as part of our ongoing support for online play.
When you purchase one of our digital decks, you receive it not only in PDF format, but also via the Datasphere Deck Tool. This unique product format makes our digital decks as useful for online play as the print decks are at the physical game table.
Draw random cards, or view the entire deck and pick one.
Copy the card image and “hand” it to your player via your VTT, in a Discord chat, or however you communicate when you play online.
Or click to copy the text and send them just that.
Peruse a deck easily, sort cards, and organize them as you see fit.
The Datasphere Deck Tool gives your deck the same time-saving and inspirational utility in the digital space as a print deck delivers at the physical game table—and it’s free, in addition to the PDF file. (In fact, you will probably find the Datasphere Deck Tool to be much handier than the PDF.)
Anyone can use a Basic version of a deck for free, or, if you own it on the MCG Shop, load your purchase straight into the Datasphere Deck Tool and start pulling cards. That means, if the Magnus Archives XP Deck is among your rewards from this campaign, and you redeemed it through the MCG Shop, you can start using the full version right now!
Log in with the same username and password as you use here on the MCG Shop. You must log in via the MCG Shop to access your purchased decks.
Under Decks in the upper-left, click Add Deck.
You’ll see a list of all your purchased decks, and, below that, other available decks. Click on the deck you wish to use.
If you don’t see a deck you own, under your account icon (in the upper-right), select Refresh My Decks.
You can also the free basic decks—their card selection is limited, but they’re fully functional.
Click the deck to draw the top card. Or click the deck name in the Decks menu to see all of your cards—and pick the cards you want.
Once a card is out on the canvas, double-click it for a closer look. From there you can copy an image of the card, or the card text, to send to a player.
If you also want the deck in PDF, simply download it from your account on the MCG Shop.

UK Games Expo saw many demos and much Magnus Archives keenness! The lovely Rusty Quill team joined us as part of their ten-year anniversary celebrations, along with the delightful Sydney from Indie Boards & Cards promoting The Magnus Protocol Mysteries. We ran and recorded two seminars at the show, the first about bringing podcasts to tabletop games and the second a live play with some of the cast of The Magnus Archives and The Magnus Protocol!
Rusty Quill are currently editing footage for their channels, which we’ll be able to share with you once that’s done. If you’ve not yet managed to play or run The Magnus Archives Roleplaying Game, then this would be a fun intro!

Happy April! We’re posting this safely far away from April 1st so you won’t mistake it for a joke—we really DO have an update on The Magnus Archives Deluxe Dice!
In our last update, we mentioned that due to tariffs and disrupted global trade we needed to explore more manufacturing options for the dice and box. They’re very deluxe products, which makes producing them even trickier when global issues throw wrenches into every step of the process. Not to worry, however—we at MCG are old hats at navigating tough issues to deliver products that delight both you and us.
Now, for the fun part…
Even deluxier dice are coming!

And to express our gratitude for the patience and grace you’ve shown us during this challenging process, we’ve found a way to further upgrade the dice. As you know, we promised high-quality sharp-edged resin dice with special markings for the game’s mechanics. We’ve worked with our vendor to further refine the design. Have a look at this:
Look how these dice shine!
The green dice show the color, pattern, and paint color we’re using for the final design. (The faces are “generic,” though, and don’t reflect the final design. So ignore them.) This is a slight upgrade from what we’ve shown in the past, but very similar.
The blue dice show the physical facet-cut design, which is really unique! This is hard to photograph—we’re doing our best to convey the brilliance, but what you see is a pale facsimile of what it’s like to hold these dice in your hand. They really shimmer!
If you look at the corners, these dice really show off the gorgeous facet-cut design!
The beautiful Leitner booksafe box, which doubles as a dice tray, is also moving forward. We’ll have more news on it in our next update.
An eight-mile-long island floating 1000 feet above distant mountains, filled with dark passages, huge vaulted rooms, mysterious devices, and dark magic. Things that crawl, slither, and moan. The base on the floating island known as Vocurro was established to investigate the strange qualities of minerals unique to its planet—but because the inhabitants have only a medieval level of social development, the base has always operated in secret.
Now it’s gone offline. Communications are down. The fate of base personnel is unknown, and a rescue party is on the way. But what will they discover on a planet that doesn’t play by the known rules of physics?

Hello Archivists,
The Deluxe Dice for The Magnus Archives Roleplaying Game and their Leitner-style Deluxe Dice Box are the only things outstanding for this campaign. We want you to know these have not been forgotten. Due to the current tariff situation, we’re currently trying to find an alternative manufacturer to our originally planned partner. This product is deluxe in many ways, which complicates manufacturing and limits the available facilities and partners who can meet our needs in all ways including production quality. We’re anxious to get this out as soon as we can, but due to the global trade environment, it’s still a ways off.

No dice tray still. Like come on guys, it's been three whole years and still no dice tray. At least the dice themselves are ready to be shipped out but three whole years. Can you at least tell us specifically what the hold up is?
I backed the Magnus Archives game at the Investigative Team tier and never received an email notifying me that the game was released or that we had to go to Monte Cook Games' website to order the products within a year with limited time coupons. I only found any of this out by investigating their website earlier this year. I have sent Monte Cook Games four emails across several months, but have not gotten any response. Anyone have advice on how to get in contact with them and get the products I already paid for without spending an additional $1,200?
