Project Update: Progress Update!

Hello all!

It's been a bit over two months since our last update which is why I wanted to start this one with an apology. Both myself and Ed have been scattered across the UK managing unforeseen circumstances, academic and career events and the like and that's delayed our updates severely. However that's no excuse for not keeping everyone posted and we're working hard to bring a number of updates on the ongoing progress with Scuttle!

The Captain!

In our last update we took a poll on which character you'd like to hear about! With the Chaplain Garrik and Captain tied, we thought we'd start with the vicious cold-blooded leader of the Shorecullers, Captain Zaeya Corda.

A fierce hard-scaled overseer, the Captain's bloody temper and vicious shark-like maw have steered off failure and mutiny alike amongst her crew. Rarely merciful with others than her seconds-in-command, Captain Corda's iron-fisted rule has remained uninterrupted to this day.

Keen-eyed readers will notice a few details in her model design, from her jagged carcharodon teeth to the sabre and revolver she bears as the tools of her trade.

However, her blade Dagon's Fang and the deafening report of Fathomsong are only small fragments of what makes the Captain such a deadly opponent in battle. Charged with keeping control of an often unruly and always violent crew, Corda has learned a few tricks in keeping both friends and foes alike in line...

(Work in progress! Layout work is ongoing for both PF2E and 5E, so final visuals will likely be quite different!)

Of course, no captain is complete without their ship. Captain Corda is no different in this regard, though her hold over the Dead Man's Wake is more aberrant than most:

(Work in progress! Layout work is ongoing for both PF2E and 5E, so final visuals will likely be quite different!)

Hurled about in the midsts of a violent eldritch storm, the party must struggle to keep aboard as other malign influences rise up from the deep to claim their souls!

Lots of work is still ongoing in the art, layout and miniature departments and we hope to have more to show you soon! We'll strive to keep you posted as much as possible on the progress with Scuttle!

Thanks,
Chris & Ed

Project Update: Scuttle Progress Report & a Vote!

Ahoy there!

We're a little ways on now from Zinetopia 2026 and we thought we'd give you an idea of current progress on Scuttle as well as give you a chance to vote on what you would like to hear about next!

Both writing and art for Scuttle have been coming along fantastically with a lot of progress made on the maps and the more mechanical side, particularly how the Shoreculler crew is run and the fights with its more fearsome members. Both the 5E & PF2E sides of this project have been exciting to write and we're looking forwards to a playtest in the future!

Similarly the sculpts for the Captain's Lot models have been laid out and a few of the crew are already done and ready to print (which brings us on to our next section...)

The Poll!

We'll be running a poll over the next week where you can select any of the four crew leaders of the Shoreculler Brigands to hear about:

Captain Corda - The vicious sharktoothed leader armed with cutlass and pistol, maintaining an iron-fisted grip on her rule over the crew.

First Mate Rayke - Cruel 'Huntmistress' of the Shorecullers that revels in maraudery and bloodshed. Rears houndcrabs, murderous crustaceans with a nose for spilt blood.

Chaplain Garrik - A pious man of the deep whose moral compass has oft steered the Dead Man's Wake as much as its crew. Wields enchanted gifts granted to him by Father Dagon & Mother Hydra, though some may seem more like curses...

Quartermaster Bonnit - The eccentric tallyman of the Wake who ensures that none go hungry, sober or without black powder for too long. A gaunt man stinking of salt and sulphur Bonnit's excitability is all too known, as is his remarkable marksmanship.

Tell us which crew lead you're most interested in and we'll have an update ready on them soon!

Thank you!

Project Update: We've Funded!

Ahoy!

It's been an exciting month for the both of us here and we've already been hard at work putting together parts of Scuttle! alongside work completing the cross-collab model with Vralkast!

We're really happy to be able to say that we've hit our funding goal and would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who's backed us! There's still a week to go for BackerKit 2026 but so far it's been a fantastic experience for us.

Particularly important to us is to give a big shoutout to our cross-collab partner - Vralkast - Monstrous Metropolis! The Great Olm's miniature is top of our priority list so we should be approaching a final render for you all soon!

Again, a massive thank you to everyone who backed us!

Project Update: Project Update: Free 'Aargh-dy-Loo!' Encounter for Scuttle! Followers

Ahoy there!

It's just under ten days till Zinetopia 2026 kicks off and we're offering a reward for signing on to the crew - a free encounter!

The Bosun's Pike has never been what most would call a pleasant tavern.
Still recent disappearances have stirred up some concern.
Most blame stumbling drunkards wandering off on their way to the toilet.

Yet the foul-mouthed tavernkeep 'Nasty' Narls Hacktooth swears his regulars are thinning by the day...

Those who head over to our teaser page and follow us get access to rules for a encounter battling a drunken bilge-sucking outhouse that's a little toothier than expected.

With encounter rules for both 5th Edition (2014) and Pathfinder 2E, Aargh!-dy-Loo also comes with a unique magical reward for the lucky slayers of the monstrous lurker beyond the threshold...

Here be monsters!

We're also announcing that for the first 48 hours of our campaign we'll be offering the gnashing mawed Outhouse Mimic as a miniature for those who back us at the Physical tier, along with accompanying ominous outhouse to deceive your players with...

We've got some modelling protoypes in the works at the moments, like the one below!

We're excited to kick off the campaign in just over a week and we hope to hear lots from you! We've got at least another update on the way before then so stay tuned and fair winds to you all!
