Project Update: Progress Update!

Hello all!

It's been a bit over two months since our last update which is why I wanted to start this one with an apology. Both myself and Ed have been scattered across the UK managing unforeseen circumstances, academic and career events and the like and that's delayed our updates severely. However that's no excuse for not keeping everyone posted and we're working hard to bring a number of updates on the ongoing progress with Scuttle!

The Captain!

In our last update we took a poll on which character you'd like to hear about! With the Chaplain Garrik and Captain tied, we thought we'd start with the vicious cold-blooded leader of the Shorecullers, Captain Zaeya Corda.

A fierce hard-scaled overseer, the Captain's bloody temper and vicious shark-like maw have steered off failure and mutiny alike amongst her crew. Rarely merciful with others than her seconds-in-command, Captain Corda's iron-fisted rule has remained uninterrupted to this day.

Keen-eyed readers will notice a few details in her model design, from her jagged carcharodon teeth to the sabre and revolver she bears as the tools of her trade.

However, her blade Dagon's Fang and the deafening report of Fathomsong are only small fragments of what makes the Captain such a deadly opponent in battle. Charged with keeping control of an often unruly and always violent crew, Corda has learned a few tricks in keeping both friends and foes alike in line...

(Work in progress! Layout work is ongoing for both PF2E and 5E, so final visuals will likely be quite different!)

Of course, no captain is complete without their ship. Captain Corda is no different in this regard, though her hold over the Dead Man's Wake is more aberrant than most:

Hurled about in the midsts of a violent eldritch storm, the party must struggle to keep aboard as other malign influences rise up from the deep to claim their souls!

Lots of work is still ongoing in the art, layout and miniature departments and we hope to have more to show you soon! We'll strive to keep you posted as much as possible on the progress with Scuttle!

Thanks,
Chris & Ed
