Project Update: Serious news: unable to combine costs for 5e/PF2e print versions
Just like in the title.
I've tried putting in the order to print the 5e and PF2e versions of Undying Corruption. Despite what I was led to believe at first by my printers, matching page counts alone aren't sufficient. The content of the books must also generally be the same for them to count them as a single job. Because of that, projected costs for printing is... quite a lot more than we expected.
Truth be told, we didn't sell enough of the PF2e versions to be able to print them at a reasonable rate. For UC specifically, we didn't sell enough of the 5e version either to really see a profit. As things are, I might end up barely breaking even, or seeing a small loss if I go ahead and print the 5e version of Undying Corruption.
Thinking on it, I think... one of the only ways I can move forward with this is to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a UC reprint and hope that does well. I'll put everything into delivering on what I promised, but anything that could help would be appreciated at this time.
I really wish I had better news to share, but I'm honestly terrified for the future of this group. I'm sorry and thank you for your patience.
