Project Update: Games Are On Their Way

Hello adventurers!

As some of you have noticed, games began shipping to backers last week—ahead of schedule, and while I (Rue, your friendly local update-maker) was out of town for a trade show. I apologize for not making an update when shipping began, but I'm excited to do so now!

The time dragon roars over a river of magma.

Shipments have started in the United States, Canada, Australia, Asia, and Europe! For our handful of folks outside of these regions, your shipments are also underway—they will ship from our warehouse here in Seattle.

We hope to complete Wave 1 fulfillment by the end of next week (June 12th) for all backers! Once our warehouse and our international shipping partners have completed shipping, we'll be back with another update!

Also—for our backers who purchased PDF add ons during the campaign, such as the Core Rulebook bundle or Crown of the Kobold King, those will be distributed via BackerKit this week! Stay tuned for an update on how to redeem your codes.

We are also doing final checks on the Foreteller Narrative App and will have an update coming this week on how to access the app!

If your game arrives, please tell us about it! We can't wait to hear how your table fares in Pathfinder Quest!

Edit

So I just received my wave 1 package with the deluxe game and acrylic tokens which is awesome. The shipping email I received said that the player mats are part of the shipment. There was a link in the email to track your shipment and there it is listed under wave 1 shipment with the deluxe game and acrylic tokens. Those items were marked as expedited but the player mats are marked as wave 2 even though it was included under the wave 1 list. Already too long story short should the player mats have come with this wave or not? If so I didn’t get them. Thanks for any clarification.

So the game came in today (deluxe edition) and it was a good unboxing and good game layout experience, I can't wait to get a bit more time (this weekend) to sit down and start playing. There are a few minor feedback items I'd like to note both in case I'm doing something wrong and I guess maybe for future reference if you all ever do something like this again. First, and most major, the box is INCREDIBLY tight for side-to-side space. Top to bottom the deluxe box has all the room to spare for everything needed, but the side to side room is non-existent, to the point where I have a feeling that box isn't going to last long if you're putting the game away and taking it out regularly. Specifically the tray that is holding everything that you slide to the bottom may or may not come out again and I absolutely scraped the hell out of the sides of the box getting it back in. For longevity it might be better if we don't remove the plastic tray at all, which is bad given that the tray is holding literally everything at the bottom of the box. I do have the organizer coming in for Wave 2, so I should be able to ditch the plastic tray at some point but for those using the "it comes with this" tray, I can't imagine the inside of their box is going to survive for an extended period of time being packed and unpacked consistently. More minor: I very much appreciated the "unboxing" instructions right at the top of the box, that was very well done to understand what to be looking for and how to not spoil things or fail and shuffle decks that shouldn't be shuffled. So...where were the re-boxing instructions? I can't be the only idiot not smarter than the box you shipped it in to figure out where everything is supposed to go to put it away. There seem to be no places for many of the items other than "just stuff them in the big compartment where the tiles go." I get there were baggies included (a LOT of them, by the way, with no information on what they're supposed to be used for...I assume the 6 medium sized bags - which didn't appear to have clear reason for existing - are to be used to hold character-in-progress stuff? Maybe that's in the instructions which I haven't had the opportunity to read yet), but not enough to get an idea of what should be bagged with what...not enough baggies to bag separate tokens separately, too many not to have some things in their own bags... Another "minor" - we could have used Divider index cards to slide between the decks. Again, this is a nit-pick, it's not as if the game is "literally unplayable" because we have to sort the decks each time from each other. I'll likely stuff my own index cards in just to make things easier but it would have been nice to have had them up front. Great experience so far, I'm looking forward to getting to play.

I received my game yesterday, excited to get into it. I received an email today with the tracking info, noting its delivered, but it says "The following items were shipped: Pathfinder Quest Deluxe Edition (with miniatures), Player Mat Four Pack by GameHead." I did not receive the player mats. Was this an error in the text and are those coming in wave 2 (as the site says)?

My Deluxe Box just came in and it's awesome, but after having it and looking at what all else is coming, I was thinking I'd like to get the acrylic tokens and box organizer. Is there any way to get my pledge opened back up so I can add those items at this point and if I did, would they ship with Wave 2, or now, if they're available, thanks!
