So the game came in today (deluxe edition) and it was a good unboxing and good game layout experience, I can't wait to get a bit more time (this weekend) to sit down and start playing. There are a few minor feedback items I'd like to note both in case I'm doing something wrong and I guess maybe for future reference if you all ever do something like this again. First, and most major, the box is INCREDIBLY tight for side-to-side space. Top to bottom the deluxe box has all the room to spare for everything needed, but the side to side room is non-existent, to the point where I have a feeling that box isn't going to last long if you're putting the game away and taking it out regularly. Specifically the tray that is holding everything that you slide to the bottom may or may not come out again and I absolutely scraped the hell out of the sides of the box getting it back in. For longevity it might be better if we don't remove the plastic tray at all, which is bad given that the tray is holding literally everything at the bottom of the box. I do have the organizer coming in for Wave 2, so I should be able to ditch the plastic tray at some point but for those using the "it comes with this" tray, I can't imagine the inside of their box is going to survive for an extended period of time being packed and unpacked consistently. More minor: I very much appreciated the "unboxing" instructions right at the top of the box, that was very well done to understand what to be looking for and how to not spoil things or fail and shuffle decks that shouldn't be shuffled. So...where were the re-boxing instructions? I can't be the only idiot not smarter than the box you shipped it in to figure out where everything is supposed to go to put it away. There seem to be no places for many of the items other than "just stuff them in the big compartment where the tiles go." I get there were baggies included (a LOT of them, by the way, with no information on what they're supposed to be used for...I assume the 6 medium sized bags - which didn't appear to have clear reason for existing - are to be used to hold character-in-progress stuff? Maybe that's in the instructions which I haven't had the opportunity to read yet), but not enough to get an idea of what should be bagged with what...not enough baggies to bag separate tokens separately, too many not to have some things in their own bags... Another "minor" - we could have used Divider index cards to slide between the decks. Again, this is a nit-pick, it's not as if the game is "literally unplayable" because we have to sort the decks each time from each other. I'll likely stuff my own index cards in just to make things easier but it would have been nice to have had them up front. Great experience so far, I'm looking forward to getting to play.
