Project Update: Update Regarding Two-Wave Shipping Errors & Adjustments

Thank you for all of your feedback on our shipping charges—in reviewing them with BackerKit, we came to the realization that the “Two-Wave Shipping” system was not properly implemented before launch. Thus, the charges you have been seeing are for your entire pledge, not just Wave 1 items. Additionally, because some of the Wave 2 items do not have final weights and dimensions, the placeholder numbers have not been updated, thus making the calculations inaccurate.

We are actively working with BackerKit to get the Two-Wave Shipping system online to re-issue shipping estimates for Wave 1 shipments—this process can take up to five business days, as some coding must be done on the backend to correct the issues. New shipping estimates will be sent out via notification email once the corrections have been made.
While this issue is not the sole cause of high shipping costs, we hope the new split-shipment estimates will be closer to expectations—albeit still higher than our original estimates due to global circumstances.
For folks who are still interested in bundling their orders and holding off until Wave 2 for total fulfillment, please email [email protected] and we will adjust your settings to hold off on collecting shipping until Fall.
