Project Update: That's a Wrap! What's next?

Hello Bird Lovers!

Thank you so much for your support! We are so excited to bring Pocket Birds to life because of your help. Over the next month we are going to be working quick to get you Issue 01: The Carolina Wren in October, so keep a look out for Backerkit surveys coming in fast!

Just a reminder that shipping is included, so there wont be any additional fees or costs when completing the survey.

For those that missed the campaign, individual issues will become available for sale on our website after they ship to backers.

Latest Community Bird Stories

Part of why we are making Pocket Birds is because we want to hear and share your bird stories and experiences with the community! Below is a story from Tracy T. about their love of the gorgeous Common Yellowthroat.

I guess the reason I love birds is because my parents loved them too. My mom was crazy about Common loons, bluebirds, and Northern cardinals, while my dad was enamored with Blue jays and hummingbirds. I think my favorite bird is the Common yellowthroat.

I used to go to a park in Iowa that had a wetlands area that was kind of secluded. They are very curious little birds, so I would sit in the tall grass and try to attract them with a kiss-like sound. It didn't always work, but every once in a while one would suddenly appear and look at me as if they were wondering if I had heard the sound too!
