Project Update: HHW Tarot: Missing America Project | Heading Out & FAQ
Hey folks, so we are a bit delayed here. I am disappointed to share that. I have been given no information on why, but the good news is that we are here now.
I requested news from our shipper a few times here over the last two weeks, but have just gotten a reply.
First though, we still have 3 people who have not done their surveys, and 7 people who have not gotten their errored cards fixed. Anyone who gets things fixed from here on, or a survey in, will be getting their order in the remaining 2nd wave of shipments at a later date.

US & Canada
We are on the way. All the US + Canadian orders are with a forwarding shipper right now who are getting them onto a shipping container. I will be informed when they are on a ship, so I can let you know when the 24 day journey begins, but ideally it should be any day now. 28 days ago, I said that we should be seeing US + Canada orders arriving between August 11-30th. Assuming the longest we wait to get on a boat is 7 days, I am pushing back our expected arrival to:
Shipping container will arrive in the US around August 28th. Then it takes a few days to get the container off the ship, another couple days for it to forward the pallets to the warehouse, then shipping goes directly into USPS. This means packages arrive to people in the US roughly September 5th-15th, and up to Canada between September 10th-20th or so.

International Backers
International backer orders have been packed and forwarded to handlers who are taking them out abroad as well, this time without a big sea journey, instead traveling through the networks of the various carriers that get the mail to you in your home country.
This means that some of you may be seeing tracking any day now, while I imagine most will only get the automated email for tracking when it hits your home country and updates there. That has been the predominate case in our past experience.
My estimate is going to shift here for you guys as well. I am estimating anytime mid-August to mid-September.

Why the Delays?
This time around I can't be 100% certain. I made a mistake that could be the reason, but I haven't been told that this is the reason. Still, for posterity, I failed to order the correct number of extra Black Lantern Oracle Dice sets. I was nearly 125 short because when I put in the order with the oracle dice manufacturer, I did not count the number that was ordered on their own in the Misery Tarot, just the ones needed for the Deluxe Misery Tarot sets + on their own in the oracle dice project. We got those made and sent over at the start of July.
We should have had enough to cover backer orders though, but it's possible that they sealed all 500 dice sets in the deluxe Misery Tarot sets then were short on the backer orders. Since nearly 200 of the deluxe sets are extras (not backed for,) I thought we would still be okay to cover orders and fill those deluxe sets later. I'm going to assume this was the delay, but then I'm not sure why we aren't on a cargo container already even if that was the delay. It's hard to say, so let's keep on moving I suppose.

- Will I Get Tracking?
- Yes. It will automatically sent to you by email, typically when it arrives to your home country and is scanned by mail carriers there for the first time.
- I don't know if I did my survey or if mine is in the packages that are fulfilling. How do I know?
- Log into Backerkit and check your survey for this project. If it's marked as Fulfilled, it is in the shipment wave heading out now. Unsure how to find your survey? Check this link: https://the-hot-housewives-misamer.backerkit.com/
- Mine is labeled with a note that says "Consolidated" but I have a $10-40+ credit. What's that?
- Because of how tax/VAT/GST are added to orders on Backerkit, even consolidated orders were tagged with taxes and fees. To make sure we didn't charge you those (since they will instead be charged on your consolidated order on another project), we just gave a blanket $50 credit to anyone whose orders were consolidated. You don't actually have extra money to get paid back, we just did that to avoid accidentally charging you more.
- Who do I contact to ask about my failed charges or survey problems?

- Who do I contact if I never get tracking or if I need to check in on missing or damaged items in my order?
- New Titan, who is handling our fulfillment, will take care of that for you directly. Just tell them your name, the email associated with your pledge, and what project you backed so they can find your order: [email protected]
- What are the final due dates for this project?
- Once US & Canadian orders hit US shores, the timer will begin for people who have not gotten their surveys done or shipping paid for. This will be a 30 day final chance for people to get their surveys in or shipping handled. If the 30 days passes and anyone has not gotten their survey in, their order will be cancelled, and their pledge will be considered a donation to the campaign's success. This was shared in the project's Terms and Conditions since launch day of the project.
- Similarly, everyone who did have their orders shipped will have 45 days from when it is marked as having arrived to contact New Titan Print about any missing items or shipments with your order. If we surpass that deadline, we will no longer handle any missing or damaged shipments, or missing items from shipments. So please open your package right when it arrives to check the contents, and when you receive your tracking number by email, be sure to give it a look. Thank you.
