Shortly after making the "clearing things up" post, Rawren deleted their backerkit account. At least on my end, clicking the account name leads to an error message. I figure, at this point, there is likely nothing we can do about this. I don't even know why Backerkit allows unfinished campaigns to up and delete their account. Rawren ran off with the money and did not intend to clear anything up until we pressed about the issue. (It should have been on them to update on the status of this campaign and we should not have had to press for the answer. It is their responsibility as the one providing the service to communicate if they are able to complete the promise made to the purchaser - that being providing the pins we had paid for. If they could not fulfill the campaign, the funds should have been returned to us.) That is tangential to what I'm going to talk about. I mentioned in that post the existence of their etsy shop - Glitch Cat Graphics. Well, I got an email today showing that their shop is back open. So, I decided to see if anything has changed and if there were any Mush Love items on that shop or any from the unfinished V2 campaign. Since Rawren deleted their backerkit account, I can't go to their account and look up their previous campaigns. However, I can look up the Visibilitea 2 campaign - which, like this one, was abandoned about a year ago. (There are a few comments on that V2 campaign claiming to have not had any updates on the status of their orders. So it is confirmed that, like this campaign, that one is also unfinished.) I compared the pins in the shop to the ones listed in the Visibilitea 2 campaign to see if they were leftover V1 pins or ones from the incomplete V2 campaign. On their campaign, they listed designs featured in the first campaign (V1) and ones that were new to this V2 campaign. So, if there are any pins listed on the backerkit related to the V2 campaign - the unfinished campaign - it should be easy to tell. Would you believe it that they're now selling the V2 pins on their etsy? They aren't sending these pins to those who ordered them, but they are selling them on their etsy account instead? How odd. As for this campaign, Mush Love - the only thing on the site is the mushroom sticker bearing the same design and the Rawren logo. This was available on their shop prior to them closing it earlier this year. I don't think we'll get our money back for the products we never received. And, given how easily they were able to delete the backerkit, run, and relist items onto etsy - I don't think backerkit will ever step in and do anything about this. I will keep my eye on the etsy account to see if they list the mush love products. But, as for now, I don't think we'll hear anything more from this campaign.
