Project Update: Not All Gnolls
The Ishkode Gem Gnolls
The Land of Fire
Named after the modern Gnollish word for fire (The Ishkode Gem Gnolls saw little reason to distinguish themselves at their apex in ages past), the Ishkode Gnolls have earned their nickname by leveraging a land many ponies still find inhospitable to a degree that would seem unfathomable to many. Embracing the inherent death and rebirth that comes with living near a major, almost constant epicentre of volcanic activity has produced many benefits that Gnolls of all kinds reap the benefits for, even long after Apep wrought ruin upon The Scar of The Sun.
The Ishkode Gnolls boast not only a resistance to toxins from an atmosphere full of volcanic smog as well as natural resistance to temperatures that would cause heat stroke in lesser Gem Gnolls, but they are also uniquely adapted to the life that living in a city entails, working harder with their paws than most Gem Gnolls would themselves, and using their skills to trade with powerful dragons who shape their society almost as much as gods themselves.
