Project Update: £130K. Devils Cover Unlocked. New Goals. Lore Poll. Let's Go.

£130,000. We are nine days into this campaign. Let that sit for a second. Nine days. You've unlocked:

  • Book ribbons
  • Spot gloss
  • Devil minis in the Starter Set
  • A brand new class
  • And now a custom cover for DEVILS.

That's every stretch goal on the original card, crossed off in under two weeks. Nice one. Genuinely. Every share, every comment, every person who dragged a friend over, this is because of you and we don't take that lightly.

DEVILS Cover

Tonton Revolver is back for the second cover, and we've landed on the concept:

A Tokyo subway train packed wall to wall with Devils. Rush hour in the Under. Devils spilling out of the barely open doors. Mangled faces pressed up against the glass.

It's going to be exactly as cool and sick as that sounds, and if you've seen what Tonton did with the DIVISION cover you'll know the detail he brings to a piece like this. Tonton's schedule is busy for very good reason, the man is in demand, so this one will come later in the year when the time is right. We'll share progress when we have it.

New Stretch Goals

Two new goals on the board and both are well within reach at the pace this campaign is moving.

At £170K we're upgrading the Starter Set. Glossy handouts and more resource tokens going in. It sounds like a small addition but the difference at the table is real. Better handouts mean better sessions, and we want the Starter Set to be genuinely excellent out of the box.

At £190K Night Shift: Devil Division gets full support on One More Multiverse VTT. OMM is a fantastic, unique platform and we're excited to be on it.

*A quick clarification on the VTT codes since we're heading in that direction: if when we hit both the DS Codex goal at £150K and the OMM goal at £190K, every backer at £115 and above gets to choose a free code for whichever VTT they prefer. Codex or OMM. Your table, your call.

£200k. We'll cross whatever bridges come after £190K if and when we get there, and we're quietly optimistic we might!

Classes: The Poll Is Still Open And It Is Very Close

Baseline Ghost and XO Copy Manipulation are neck and neck with a few days left on the clock. If you haven't voted yet, now is the time. This one is too close to call and your vote is genuinely going to matter. Head back to the previous update and get it in.

To give everyone a clearer picture of where the new class will land, we've put together some graphics laying out the goals for all five Schools and the Classes within each. This is the first time we've shown the full class structure this clearly so have a good look. There's a lot in here that hasn't been talked about publicly yet. It's all WORK IN PROGRESS as we're waiting to have some proper design meetings so be mindful things could, and likely will, change.

Wargamer Interview
I recently sat down with Mollie from Wargamer to talk about Night Shift: Devil Division—the game, the setting, the design, all of it. It's a good read whether you've already backed or still convincing yourself. Check it out.

Lore Poll

Before the campaign launched we ran a poll and you voted for The Division as the first lore deep dive. We wrote it, you read it, and apparently you wanted more, so here we are again.

Below is a new poll with five options. Vote for the topic you want us to cover next and we'll get writing. The options are pulled straight from the parts of this world we're most excited to talk about, so there's no wrong answer here, just the one you're most curious about.
