Hiya! I’m MattsyKun, though you can call me Mattsy, or Ally! I’m a black, queer self-taught artist, comic creator, fursuit part maker… I honestly do a lot of things, and I love it ALL.
After buying my first big-fox car a couple of years ago, I got to decorating her (because my previous car was red and I missed that). But while gathering all sorts of things for my Subie, I realized something.
There are NO cute furry license plate frames.
I'd been considering this project for years, but after some encouragement from my fellow artists, I decided to take the plunge and finally design something that can be subtle enough if your parents don't know you're a furry, and kawaii enough to add to your ride if you are.
Each frame is made to fit a US Standard Plate, for plates in the United States (and Canada). With tabs on the back, these frames hold your plate safe and snug.

Please check your state’s laws regarding plate frames. These designs are decorative license plate frames! Before installing or using them on a vehicle, please check and follow all applicable local, state, provincial, and national traffic laws and vehicle regulations in your area. It is your responsibility to confirm that a frame does not obstruct or interfere with any required numbers, letters, registration stickers, state names, or other legally required plate information! If local laws do not allow the use of decorative frames of this type, these license plate frames should only be used for collection, display, or off-road/show purposes.
Please measure where your plates are! These are designed with clearance for rear-view/backup cameras, handles, etc.
The initial goal of $750 will allow us to produce these first two plate frame designs, the Gray Wolf and Red Fox!

More stretch goals may be made available if we smash through these ones! Raccoons, dragons, almost anything is possible, but it can only be MADE possible with your help!
In order to ensure the best shipping rates, all shipping fees will be collected from all backers after the post-campaign survey is sent out. Shipping fees are estimates based on the current postal costs, and are subject to change depending on the shipping rates when your shipping is paid.
The buyer is responsible for all import taxes and fees. Backerkit does not collect this.
Due to the fact that these frames are for USA standard plates, I can only ship these to the US and Canada. I apologize to my international friends!
Every order will be shipped with tracking. Tracking will be delivered to the email you provide in the campaign.
