We say "free" because your reservation costs $5, but that $5 is applied to your pledge for Descent of the Ancient Fane, meaning Delicious in Whiterock is yours at no extra charge.
If that's not reason enough to go to Descent of the Ancient Fane and reserve your spot, here are more reasons - with art!
1. Stefan Poag is painting the cover
We love Stefan for many reasons: his empathy, his spirit, his color palette. One of the top reasons we love working with him is how he dives headlong into a project that inspires him. Delicious in Whiterock is one such project, and it shows from the sketch he sent us recently, where a kitchen of monsters, cooking monsters, is depicted in his uniquely elaborate grotesque style.
2. Other Brilliant Artists Are Contributing (Scotty Monster, Goran Gligovic, and Moore)
Each of Delicious in Whiterock's 21 entries has original art associated with it. Scotty Monster and Goran Gligovic have done five pieces each, some of which are shown below, and we feel the results are amazing. We're proud to represent Castle Whiterock's monsters with these original pieces showing them at their most fearsome or flavorful.
3. The Recipes are For Real
The recipes in Delicious in Whiterock may have humor, but they're no joke. We found the closest equivalent to the monster meat in Whiterock, came up with diverse ways to prepare them and tested them to make sure they're officially "Delicious." When you buy Delicious in Whiterock - or get it for free, some time over the next 14 days, that is - you can be confident you're getting a solid cookbook with a range of recipes you, your family and your gaming group can enjoy.
4. The Tips Are Tasty Too
Delicious in Whiterock also features tips on how to hunt these creatures. These tactical tips can be used as in-character advice, or just considered by a judge or GM looking to put a twist on things for players. Either way, they contain insights about the monsters of Whiterock, where they're found and how they behave.
All that - and it's all pretty much free once you put five on it!
