As some of you may have noticed, we opened the VHS: Rule of Three Pledge Manager last week. Through it, you'll be able to finalize your pledge and purchase any add-ons you'd like.

On top of that, within the last hour we've sent out the first batch of digital files through DriveThru.

Come alcuni di voi avranno visto, la scorsa settimana abbiamo aperto il pledge manager per VHS: Rule of Three, tramite il quale potrete finalizzare il vostro pledge e aggiungere altri add-on.

Oltre a questo, giusto nell'ultima ora abbiamo inviato il primo batch di file digitali tramite DriveThru.

As promised, we wanted to use this short update to let you know how the next post-campaign steps will be handled.

As soon as we finish setting up the Pledge Manager (most likely next week, or the one after at the latest), you’ll receive the Surveys needed to finalize your pledge.

A few days after the Surveys are sent out, we’ll begin delivering a batch of digital files from the first and second VHS series to backers who have one or more related products in their pledge.

The files will be delivered through DriveThruRPG, so if you don’t already have an account, we recommend creating one. You’ll still be able to do so once you receive the notification email for the files.

Through the Survey, you’ll also be able to request priority shipping for products from the first and second VHS series, if your pledge includes one or more related items.

So, how is development progressing?

Right now, our main focus is completing all the written content. As soon as entire sections are finished, such as all the Monsters from one VHS or all the Characters from another, the files will be sent to our Italian proofreader.

After that, they move on to English translation and revision.

At the same time, our artists will work on the extra illustrations tied to the unlocked Stretch Goals. Once that phase is complete, we’ll move into layout and graphic design. Afterward, you’ll receive the digital files while we simultaneously send everything to print.

Finally, we’ll move on to fulfillment, which will be handled through three different distribution hubs: Italy (for Europe), the USA & Canada, and the UK.

Come promesso, con questo breve update vogliamo informarvi sui prossimi passaggi di VHS: Rule of Three.

Non appena avremo terminato di impostare il Pledge Manager (indicativamente la prossima settimana, o al massimo quella successiva) riceverete le Survey per finalizzare il vostro pledge.

Qualche giorno dopo l’invio delle Survey, invieremo un batch di file digitali della prima e della seconda serie di VHS ai backer che hanno uno o più prodotti collegati a esse.
I file verranno inviati tramite DriveThruRPG, quindi se non avete ancora un account vi consigliamo di crearne uno. Potrete comunque farlo anche dopo aver ricevuto la notifica dei file inviati.

Tramite la Survey sarà possibile richiedere la spedizione prioritaria per i prodotti della prima e della seconda serie di VHS, per chi ha uno o più prodotti collegati a esse all’interno del pledge.

Come procede la lavorazione?
Per prima cosa stiamo completando tutti i testi. Man mano che chiudiamo delle sezioni complete (per esempio tutti i Mostri di una VHS o tutti i Personaggi di un’altra) inviamo i file al correttore per la revisione italiana. 

Successivamente i testi passeranno alla traduzione e revisione inglese.

Nel frattempo, i nostri artisti porteranno a termine i disegni extra legati agli Stretch Goals sbloccati. Una volta conclusa questa fase, si passerà all’impaginazione. Terminata anche quella, riceverete i file digitali e invieremo tutto in stampa.

Infine si passerà al fulfillment, che avverrà tramite tre hub di distribuzione differenti: Italia (per Italia ed Europa), USA e Canada, e UK.

[ENG] This was Aces Games’ seventh campaign.

So yeah, you’d think by now I’d know exactly how to handle projects like this.

But that’s not entirely true. You’re never fully prepared, because every journey is completely different. The goals change, the message changes, the project changes, and most of all, what we’re trying to express through it changes.

And that last part has always been the hardest for me: getting across everything I’m trying to communicate through a game. Sometimes I can’t do it the way I’d like, and that’s frustrating, because words, videos, and images can only go so far.

If it were up to me, I’d sit down and play with each of you, just to truly show you what I mean.

But this time, looking at the incredible support, all the new backers discovering our work, and the returning ones who, as always, honor us with their trust… I feel like I’ve managed to get that message across.

To show what VHS really is: not just a game, but a way of communicating. From the outside, bringing us back to those “good old days,” and within its pages, where every word comes from experience, but also from listening to those who have lived its stories over the years.

Now it’s time to get to work on VHS: Rule of Three. And we honestly can’t wait.

Next week we’ll share a more detailed update about the next steps of the project, including the opening of the pledge manager.

[ITA] Questa è stata la settima campagna della Aces Games.

Posso quindi dire che ormai so come gestire progetti che prendono vita in questo modo.

Ma non è del tutto vero. Non si è mai preparati fino in fondo, perché ogni viaggio è nettamente diverso dagli altri. Cambiano gli obiettivi, cambia il messaggio, cambia il progetto e soprattutto cosa intendiamo comunicare con esso.

La cosa più difficile per me è sempre stata in quest'ultimo punto: far capire tutto quello che cerco di comunicare con un gioco. E a volte non riuscirci come vorrei è frustrante, perché le parole, i video, le immagini, possono raccontare solo fino a un certo punto.

Fosse per me, giocherei con ciascuno di voi, solo per potervelo raccontare vorrei.

Stavolta però, guardando l'enorme sostegno ottenuto, tutti i nuovi sostenitori che si sono avvicinati ai nostri lavori e il ritorno di quelli nuovi, che come sempre ci onorano, posso dire di essere riuscito a comunicare quanto volevo.

A far quindi capire che cos'è VHS: non solo un gioco, ma un modo di comunicare, sia da fuori, riportandoci un po' ai "bei vecchi tempi", che fra le sue pagine, dove ogni parola è il frutto di esperienza ma anche dell'ascolto dei suggerimenti di chi si è immerso fra le sue storie nel corso di questi anni.

Ora è tempo ti metterci a lavoro su VHS: Rule of Three. E non vediamo già l'ora!

La prossima settimana scriveremo un update più dettagliato riguardo ai prossimi step di questo progetto, fra i quali l'apertura del pledge manager.

Con lo sblocco anche dell’ultimo Stretch Goal, VHS: Rule of Three raggiunge una nuova vetta di orrori e tormenti, pronti più che mai a invadere i vostri tavoli da gioco.

Siamo davvero fieri di ciò che abbiamo costruito con questa terza stagione di VHS, ma ancora di più lo siamo per il supporto che abbiamo ricevuto da tutti voi.

Assieme ai veterani che continuano ad affrontare l’orrore, e a chi si è affacciato per la prima volta su questo mondo, non c’è limite a ciò che possiamo raggiungere con la saga di VHS.

Avete ancora tempo per unirvi a questa campagna dell’incubo. Mancano poche ore, e ricordate: tutto ciò che è stato sbloccato resterà disponibile solo finché il contatore di questa pagina non raggiungerà lo zero. E se date un’occhiata… vedrete che manca davvero poco.

With just 5 days left before the campaign ends, we’ve unlocked a new Stretch Goal, but more importantly, we’ve revealed the final one.

The one that will bring VHS: Rule of Three to the peak of the nightmare.

This Stretch Goal closes out the expansion lineup for this campaign, alongside Lake Curse, Killer Pumpkin Night, and Mr. Sweepy Show. Like the others, it includes a Monster, a Main Set, a Film, and a Scenario.

As the name suggests, Premonition offers something more to all of you backers. An extra visual and playable content that already looks ahead to the future of VHS; a glimpse through the nightmare that prepares you for what’s coming next.

The ideas behind VHS keep growing alongside the incredible support we continue to receive.

We have one goal: to build a universe that fills your shelves… as much as your nightmares.

A 5 giorni dalla fine della campagna, abbiamo sbloccato un nuovo Stretch Goal ma soprattutto rivelato l'ultimo, il quale porterà VHS: Rule of Three fino alla vetta dell'incubo!

Questo Stretch Goal, che chiude la collezione di espansioni di questa campagna (e di cui fanno anche parte Lake Curse, Killer Pumpkin Night e Mr. Sweepy Show), conterrà un Mostro, un Set Principale, un Film e uno Scenario.

Ma non solo...

Come suggerisce il nome stesso, Premonition darà qualcosa in più a tutti voi sostenitori. Un contenuto visivo e giocabile extra che guarda già al futuro di VHS: uno squarcio nell'incubo che vi permetterà di essere pronti per gli orrori in arrivo.

Le idee per VHS crescono man mano che cresce l'enorme supporto che continuiamo a ricevere da chi, come voi, sostiene il nostro lavoro.
Il nostro obiettivo è uno solo: costruire un universo che riempia i vostri scaffali… quanto i vostri incubi.
