Project Update: Survey Deadline Reached: Failed Payment Backers Dropped!

First; apologies for the delay in the sample progress. I have nudged Steven and am hoping to have updated sample pictures of Galaxy Nu and Spoopy Noopy this week. If this is a concern for you, please hang tight. 🫶🏼
🔔 Second: Backers with failed payments from the main campaign have been dropped. Your pledges have been marked cancelled. You will need to wait until our left overs drop to obtain any of the Noops from this campaign.
Normally, I would be willing to make accommodations and help backers with arranging alternative payment methods, but due to the volume of orders and the agenda I’ve got going on this year, I do not have the bandwidth to do so for this campaign. 😅
🚨 With the exception of Pay over time backers:
• PLEASE read this next part if your initial payment failed (and you’ve still not made at least one payment on your balance):
THESE ORDERS CANNOT BE CANCELLED FROM MY END!! If you are needing assistance with your POT arrangement you will need to contact Backerkit support. I have discovered through a friend that even if your initial payment fails to charge, Stripe will still continue to attempt to charge your monthly payment until it’s paid. At the time of this post I do not know of any way to cancel it from my end. This is only my second time enabling POT for campaigns and my fist encounter for needing to cancel a POT charge (the customer requested an alternative payment option), so I apologize if this is confusing. I was under the (now confirmed false) impression that if I marked a pledge as cancelled or “refunded” the payment that it would stop the automatic charge.
This is not the case. It will continue to try to charge as this was technically a commitment to purchase due to the payment terms with pay over time.
This hasn’t shown to be a huge issue, so I do not think I need to worry about it too much but should this become an issue down the road, I will no longer be able to enable POT for future campaigns.

We have a good majority of backers who have filled out their surveys! Thank you for this as it greatly helps me with keeping things moving along.
If you have not filled out your survey please do so!
Shipping fees will be charged closer to fulfillment. At this time, do not worry about that charge and once we are closer to that time I’ll update backers and post the shipping fees!
Payment methods for last minute add-ons will be processed today. Failed payment methods will have 7 days to fix them. Failed payments after that time will have their add ons removed so I can close your survey.
Scenario Example:
• You pledged for 1 Noopy plush and your initial campaign pledge was successful.
• You received your survey and filled it out, and decided you wanted to add +1 Noopy plush. Your balance due is $26.
• I process the charge for the additional Noopy and your card declined. You will have seven days to remedy that.
• After 7 days I attempt the charge again, and it fails. I will remove that additional Noopy, and you will only receive the one (or any item) you paid for.
I hope this helps clarify the scenario for backers who may be confused.
You will know if your payment method failed because you’ll be emailed by Backerkit. If you fixed your payment method after receiving the email, please just email me and I can to process your payment again sooner.
I’ll be getting those pictures as soon as I can and sharing them with you all!
